82% Don’t Know Enough About Kyrillos To Form An Opinion On His U.S. Senate Candidacy
New Jersey voters continue to approve of the job Governor Chris Christie is doing, according to a Quinnipiac poll released this morning.
Christie’s job approval is 55-38%, with a significant gender gap. Men approve of the governor 62-32% while woman approve 49-44%.
New Jersey voters approved of Christie’s proposed income tax cut by a 55-31% margin.
If Christie were selected as the vice presidential nominee, his presence on the ballot as Mitt Romney’s running mate would close the gap between Romney and President Obama, but not by enough to carry the state. Obama beats Romney 49-39% in New Jersey. The gap closes to 49-43% if Christie in Romney’s VP choice.
In the U.S. Senate race, incumbent Democrat Bob Menendez bests Republican Joe Kyrillos by 49-34% with Independents favoring the Democrat 44-32%.
82% of the respondents did not know enough about Kyrillos to form and opinion.
“Sen. Robert Menendez’s numbers are only so-so, but nobody has heard of State Sen. Joe Kyrillos. He gets only the generic Republican vote,” said Maurice Carroll, director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.
In the Republican presidential primary, Romney leads former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum 38-24%, with Texas Congressman Ron Paul coming in third with 12%. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich gets 9%. The Republican primary survey has a margin of error of +/- 4.6%.
Obama beats all Republican contenders in New Jersey. Santorum by 52-34%, Gingrich by 55-30% . If Quinnipiac polled Paul against Obama, they did not report the results.
Quinnipiac surveyed 1396 registered voters, 446 (32%) of them Republicans, between February 21-27. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 2.6%

With 74% of the votes reported, FoxNews has projected that Mitt Romney has won the Michigan GOP presidential primary with 41% of the vote. Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum came in second with 37%, Texas Congressman Ron Paul was third with 12%. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who did not campaign in the state, earned 7% of the vote.
Fox called the Arizonia primary for Romney earlier this evening based upon exit polling.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is hoping rising gasoline prices can reignite his stalled presidential campaign.
Poltico’s Ginger Gibson (a former Star Ledger statehouse scribe) reports that Gingrich will deliver a speech on energy policy this afternoon to the California GOP state convention.
“It will be our outline for the country — how really big the gap is between the Obama approach to expensive energy and in essence forcing Americans to change their way of life built around what I think is a series of fantasies,” Gingrich told POLITICO in an interview Friday. “And an approach that says we’re going to be energy independent and we ought to have inexpensive energy.”
Gingrich’s speech will be a direct response to President Obama’s energy speech in Florida earlier this week.

Bob Menendez and the Senate have failed to pass a budget for more than 1000 days. That is an incredible leadership failure. What is worse, today’s budget proposes more of the same—more spending, more taxes and more debt. And while countries like Greece struggle to pass austerity budgets, the White House says that this is no time for austerity. That is insane.
In New Jersey we have proven that hard decisions and tough measures can turn things around. They haven’t learned that lesson in Washington, but it is time they do.

We Respectfully Disagree With Lincoln Day Dinner Speakers
There ARE Other Candidates For President
Gingrich Campaign Organizing New Jersey
We read with a slight tone of amusement, this morning’s post and comments here on MMM about last night’s Monmouth County Lincoln Day Dinner. The first thought that came to our mind is this, “Fellow Republicans, is there not a Primary scheduled for June where THE PEOPLE get to decide on who N.J. wants as their Presidential candidate?”
We’ll not comment on some of the comments at Sunday night’s Monmouth County Lincoln Day Dinner because such “heated passion & exuberance” is often expected, although often over the top.
We’re just not going to be distracted by such attempts from the Romney camp to grab the media spot light.
What we are here to say is that YES, there is a Primary in N.J. and that primary WILL include a very strong contest by the Newt Gingrich Campaign
The Newt 2012 campaign has actually been on the ground for more than a couple of weeks and just recently finalized its leadership team. We are collecting ballot petition signatures and going door to door talking with the voters rather than the leadership. After all, it’s the voters that make the decision
And, New Jersey’s voters deserve a Conservative choice on the primary ballot, not someone who claims to be a “Severe Conservative,” yet has a record as liberal as they come.
So, while Newt Gingrich continues to promote his candidacy, vowing to go all the way to the convention; and despite the Conventional Wisdom which says that a Romney NJ win is guaranteed, in N.J., Newt’s N.J. supporters will fight for each and every delegate to bring the 2012 Presidential Nomination home for Newt Gingrich. Only a Clear Conservative Choice between President Obama and our nominee will bring the win home for Republicans in November. Newt Gingrich is not only best suited to win, but deliver on his platform as he did in the past, creating jobs and balancing the budget. Newt has the experience to get the job done while bringing bold ideas to the table.
Not only are we asking grass roots volunteers and supporters to be with Newt, we are also building a slate of delegates for Newt, so Newt’s supporters are welcome to contact us as soon as possible if they are interested in standing as a delegate for Newt at the convention in Tampa, Florida.
Wouldn’t it be nice for N.J.’s Presidential Primary to actually mean something this year? You can start to see that happens by getting involved in making sure a true Conservative is on the ballot this June, and help us to fight for the Party of Reagan.
We’ll soon get to work on defining Newt’s message of REAL Conservatism while we illustrate the differences between Newt & other candidates real soon, but right now, we’ll be working on putting Newt on the ballot with a full slate of delegates and discounting such “puffery” exhibited at the Lincoln Day Dinner.
Don’t fall in line as sheep. Investigate and decide for yourself. Be Bold, Be Brave & Fight For Conservatism Like Newt Does In The Following Video. It says it ALL about there being a lot more to happen with this primary season.

There were at least unhappy four people of the approximately 500 Republicans celebrating Lincoln Day in Monmouth County last night.
Bayshore Tea Party Group Co-founders, Barbara Gonzalez and Bob Gordon, along with their opposite sex spouses, Frank Gonzalez and Lynn Gordon stood up during Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno’s speech and quietly walked out of the Shore Casino in Atantic Highlands.
The Tea Partiers were upset about the support of Mitt Romney expressed by Guadagno and other speakers.
In an email to BTPG members sent after the event, Gonzalez said,
Some of us attended the Lincoln Dinner this evening, which is a republican event, held at the Shore Casino.
Four of us walked out during Lt Governor’s speech. Why?
Well, first, one speaker got up and told us how no other candidate is worth a crap and how Romney is the only one we should support. Then, the Lt Governor got up and spewed the same garbage.
The four of us that walked out were appalled. This was a disgraceful way for the republican party to act. There are three other candidates running on the republican ticket. How dare they.
That being said, what are you going to do about it? Are you going to let them dictate who we should be voting for? Whether you support Gingrich, Santorum or Paul, you should hopefully be working your butt off for them.
We are actively doing some work for Santorum from the office if anyone is interested. Helene is the county leader, so contact her or reply to me if you want to help. I can tell you this….my passion to have Santorum win has just been increased by what I saw this evening.
Hell hath no fury like a woman being told who to vote for!
Other speakers who spoke in support of Romney were New Jersey National Republican Committeeman Bill Palatucci and Congressman Chris Smith.
On her facebook page, Gonzalez posted:
I HAVE NEWS FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF NEW JERSEY: ROMNEY IS NOT THE ONLY CANDIDATE IN THIS RACE AND IT WAS DISGRACEFUL TONIGHT AT THE LINCOLN DINNER. I AM ASHAMED TO BE A REPUBLICAN. THEY SAID WE ALL HAD TO VOTE FOR ROMNEY AND THAT NO ONE ELSE CAN WIN. WELL, HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS!!! YOU JUST GAVE THE TEA PARTY A SHOT OF ADRENALINE! AGAIN, THAT WAS TOTALLY DISGRACEFUL.

By Mark A. Falzon, President, Jersey Shore Tea Party
So long, Nikita. Bye bye, Brezhnev. Sayonara, Stalin. Change the drapes at the Kremlin for now Washington DC, USA is the hub of global Marxist activity in the world. Yes, the Kremlin has succumbed to the weight of time and passed the torch to North America.
This migration of the Marxist HQ has taken decades to complete. For a while there, global Marxism has had no official home. Castro and Peking have been fermenting internal revolutions or been occupied with other things. Moscow was drained of her captive nations. But then, a consortium of undesirable elements here in this country including our vaunted press, 1960ish radicals and greedy, selfish politicians have all participated in the slaying of the grandiose experiment known as the American Republic. Notice I use past tense because it is almost complete. The EPA, the NLRB, un-appointed czars (now I know why they use that name!), POTUS and a DC over-regulated, centralized nanny state are in place. To hell with individual liberty! To hell with the American Constitution. It was written by greedy, wealthy white slave owners anyway. God knows what else the devils have put in place because surely we cannot count on our vaunted press to expose it.
After the pseudo stimulus bill was passed I noticed something not widely published. That being, Andy Stern made a trip to Europe, stopping at many of the Euro capitals and larger cities. The same Andy Stern that was at one time the most frequent visitor to the WH. The same Andy Stern who was the brains and brawn behind SEIU and ACORN. I asked myself, “why?” and then it hit me. Our government, loaded with new Marxist-Leftist Radicals brought in by BHO and that Valerie Jarret were now flush with American taxpayer cash. We all know money talks. I ask, could Andy, as proper a Marxist representative as there is, have been parading through Europe handing out our taxpayer money to the cash starved Marxist groups all over Europe? I asked Joe (verbal gaffe of the day) Biden who was responsible for over seeing the disbursement of the stimulus funds, but he didn’t respond. Think about it. Marxist now rule the roost here. What better way to cement your global control of the Global Marxist Movement than to rain US taxpayer cash on them. At that point, you have control and allegiance. So long, Moscow hello DC!
Was this part of a master plan to fund the Euro demonstrations we saw last summer? Is that same cash secretly helping OWS who is threatening to bring Euro style violent demonstrations to our shores? Are known and unknown persons in DC calling the global Marxist Movement shots subsidized by US tax collections? Could be! Who knows because there certainly has not been a ledger produced detailing stimulus outlays…..and even if there were what clear thinking person would believe anything to come out of this administration. Credibility is not their strong suit.
Why mention this now? One word, ROMNEY. Romney is not the favorite of the Tea Party Movement. Of the 4 candidates I would safely say he is the least liked. The GOP Establishment with decades of experience and tons of money, appear to be having their way. The Tea Party Movement, newbies to the political scene have lost in this GOP presidential primary process. The GOP is poised to put their boy at the top. But there is the congress.
If a military field commander was charged with defending a city, bridge or any target, Officer training 101 would include several lines of defense. Line A, then Line B and possibly a Line C to maintain possession and thwart the enemy. We, the Tea Party Movement cannot influence whom we want as the GOP presidential candidate this cycle. But there is the congress. Congress can be our second line of defense. What better way to outflank the GOP Establishment and our Marxist interlopers in one move than the Tea Party Movement influencing the senate majority leader selection and the Speaker of the House? What a citizens’ coup! So my Tea Party brothers and sisters, do not lament for long Romney’s apparent success. Identify those senate and congressional candidates running that are true American patriots. Help those we put in office 2010 stay in office. Let’s make our new goal the following: both congressional leadership positions must go to a member of the congressional Tea Party Caucus! By controlling both houses of congress we can neuter a RINO president. With a RINO president and Tea Party congress we can squash once and for all this American Marxist initiative.
Let’s get out there and continue the revolution we started September 12, 2009. Let’s get out there and use as our goal the record setting congressional turnover in 2010 and try to build on it. Let the GOP Establishment focus on POTUS and we should not hinder them. We must, must have BHO removed. We must, must have the final say in our beloved nation and an iron grip over the congress will do just that.

The New York Times called the Florida GOP presidential primary for former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney at the moment the polls closed in the western part of the state.
As of 8:29 pm EST, with 63% of the results reported, Romney leads former House Speaker Newt Gingrich 47% to 31%. Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum has 13.2% of the preliminary count and Texas Congressman Ron Paul 6.9%.
The Times reported that Santorum, the winner of the Iowa caucuses has started running ads in Nevada targeting Gingrich’s Tea Party support, saying the Speaker’s policies, including support of Wall Street bailouts mirror those of another former Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, and President Barack Obama.
