Susan Unger Cohen and Jack McNaboe are running for reelection to the Manalapan Township Committee, according to a press release from Manalapan GOP Chairman Glen Mendez.
Cohen, the Township’s mayor, has served on the governing body since 2007, with the exception of 2011 when she took a year off for family reasons. She was also mayor in 2012 and 2013 and is credited with leading the Township through Superstorm Sandy.
McNaboe was appointed to the committee to fill a vacancy in 2013. He was elected to complete the term he was appointed to and was elected to his own full term in 2014. The current Deputy Mayor, McNaboe was also served as mayor. He has been a member of the Planning Board for 10 years.

Friendly rivals? Lt Gov Kim Guadagno and Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli
Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, Lt Governor Kim Guadagno’s only legitimate competitor for the GOP gubernatorial nomination in the June 6 GOP primary, conceded the Monmouth County GOP line to Guadagno at the Party convention on March 18. But Ciattarelli is not conceding the County’s Republican primary votes to the “extraordinarily weak frontrunner.”
MoreMonmouthMusings has learned that the Ciattarelli campaign will file a full slate of Monmouth County legislative and county candidates with the Secretary of State and Monmouth County Clerk on Monday, the filing deadline.

Marc Marinoff photo via facebook
Marc S. Marinoff, 30, of Pear Drive in Marlboro and a teacher at the Bolger Middle School in Keansburg, was arrested on child pornography charges on Thursday, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Detectives of the Prosecutor’s Computer Crimes Unit conducted a search of Marinoff’s home and various personal electronic devices were seized. An initial preview forensic examination revealed that Marinoff possessed and distributed videos of child pornography via a peer-to-peer file-sharing program – an online connection of computers allowing the sharing of files directly between the individual users.
Marinoff was charged with one count each of second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Distribution of Child Pornography) and third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Possession of Child Pornography). The charges carry penalties of up to 15 years in state prison upon conviction and lifetime parole supervision under Megan’s Law.
