MoveOn.org lied to New Jersey donors

MoveOn.org, the extreme leftist advocacy group and PAC, lied to its members in New Jersey’s 4th Congressional District in a fundraising email last month.

In the email that purported to be a survey to determine which Democrat the organization would endorse in the June 5th primary, Josh Welle, address none of your business, or Jim Keady of Spring Lake, MoveOn stated that Congressman Chris Smith is retiring and that either Welle or Keady will be running against an unnamed Republican nominee in the general election on November 6th.

Congressman Smith is running for reelection and is unopposed in the 4th District Republican primary on June 5th.  Read the rest of this entry »

Birds of a feather

David F. Hohsfield, 62, of Manchester Township, is accused of making sexually explicit and vulgar comments within earshot of pre-teen girls in Howell retail stores last week while pretending to be talking on his cell phone.

John P. Curley, 65, of Middletown Township, is accused of making sexually explicit and vulgar comments to minors while pretending to be a role model.

But these cuckoos are not flying together.

Questions For Long Branch Mayoral Candidate John Pallone

Congressman Frank Pallone speaks at his brother’s get out the vote rally, May 3, 2018. Social media photo

John Pallone is the only Long Branch mayoral candidate who has not responded to MMM’s request for an interview.

Mayor Adam Schneider’s interview has been viewed over 5,600 times since we posted it on Monday.  Avery Grant’s interview has been viewed almost 2000 times since we posted yesterday.  Voters are obviously engaged.  In 2014, less than 3,000 votes were cast in the Long Branch mayoral election. This time it will probably be more than double that.

Other outlets have reported that Pallone is dodging questions from the media or that he wants the questions in advance.  In the hopes that Pallone will call back for that interview, we’re posting questions we have for him:

Avery Grant Dishes About Joe Ferraina and John Pallone: Long Branch Mayor’s Race

Avery Grant, the Long Branch School Board Member who is running for mayor of Long Branch against incumbent Adam Schneider and Councilman John Pallone invited MMM into his home for an interview on Wednesday afternoon.

In the five minute clip above, Grant reveals how former Superintendent of Schools Joe Ferraina tried to get him to run for council on Pallone’s ticket. Grant said he refused because Pallone “doesn’t exhibit leadership.”   Grant said that Ferraina is a real leader, that he wanted Ferriana to be the candidate to challenge Schneider, but that the former superintendent couldn’t do so because of the scandal surrounding the school board’s $600,000 settlement of a sexual harassment lawsuit against him.

Grant confirmed that Ferraina’s office was sound proof and had a fancy bathroom, as alleged in the “sex slave” lawsuit.  Read the rest of this entry »

Long Branch candidates finally debate

The candidates for Long Branch Mayor and Council all participated last night in a debate sponsored by The Link News and the League of Women Voters before an audience of voters, mostly supporters of one of the slates, in the auditorium of Long Branch High School.

Mayor Adam Schneider, Council President John Pallone, School Board Member Avery Grant, and their running mates all showed up for the third scheduled debate.  Pallone and his team skip the first two debates.  Schneider and Pallone are both running with a full slate of council candidates.  Grant is running with two council candidates.  Long Branch voters will elect a mayor and full five member council to lead the city next Tuesday, May 8.

Grant and Pallone have both previously run against Schneider. Read the rest of this entry »

Curley Threatened to Stab DiMaso

Disgraced Freeholder John P. Curley threatened to stab former Freeholder Serena DiMaso with a syringe, referred to DiMaso by an Italian slur, and made fun of an unspecified female County employee’s derriere, according to an Asbury Park Press report.

Curley also lunged at an employee, pointing in her face, and was overhead telling a third-party, “look at her a–,” “Who would want to sleep with her?” and “I wouldn’t touch her with a 40-foot pole,” according to app.com

If you call Curley at 732-683-8838 to demand that he resign, tell him you read about his disgusting conduct in the Asbury Park Press.

Last week at a Freeholder meeting, Curley told a resident who asked him about the allegations levied against him by former Assemblyman Michael Panter last month, that he does not respond to blogs.  So far, only MMM has reported on Panter’s letter. Read the rest of this entry »

Arnone Report: Clean Beaches, Clean Ocean, Fiscal Discipline and Fighting Kids Cancer

By Monmouth County Freeholder Director Tom Arnone

Freeholder Director Tom Arnone

Spring is finally here! It’s great to see the trees and flowers begin to bloom and show signs that warmer weather is on its way. I hope everyone has been able to enjoy time outside and hopefully visit some Grown in Monmouth properties!

I’d like to thank everyone who participated in Earth Day events throughout the County, including beach sweeps and property cleanups. I had the chance to visit with volunteers who were cleaning up the area surrounding Shark River.

Kelly: Adam Schneider is clearly the best choice for Long Branch

By Greg Kelly

“John Pallone is pathetic and so are all his running mates. They don’t care about anything. They haven’t been in this community working. We’re the ones making this a better city to live in. But I’m done being angry. It’s all about energy — which I’ll use right up to Election Day when we win.”

Long Branch Mayor John Schneider

That was Mayor Adam Schneider speaking to supporters at his lower Broadway campaign headquarters after a recent evening of cold weather but satisfying voter feedback during his door-to-door visits.

“We’re hearing a lot of good things,” explained the man seeking an eighth four-year term as the chief executive of Long Branch. “They think the city is headed in the right direction.”

Clearly, it’s election season in the City of Long Branch. City voters will go to the polls on Tuesday, May 8 to elect a mayor and six council members.

Why Congressman Chris Smith is running for reelection

Congressman Chris Smith has had a very consequential career in the House of Representatives. His accomplishments, a few of which he discusses in this video, are very impressive. When I asked him why he is seeking a 20th term, Smith launched into a passionate litany of the difference his work has made for his constituents in New Jersey, the world, and his passion for the work yet to be done. Curley Accused of Official Misconduct, Corruption

By Art Gallagher

Freeholder John P. Curley

The FBI and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office have conducted at least five interviews into the conduct of Freeholder John P. Curley and former Monmouth County Counsel Timothy B. Middleton, Esq., according to former Assemblyman Michael Panter, in his capacity as in-house legal counsel of Realty Data Systems, LLC (RDS), a company that performs property inspections for many municipalities participating in the New Jersey Assessment Demonstration Program (ADP).

Panter disclosed the law enforcement investigation into Curley and Middleton in a detailed nine page letter to Monmouth County Freeholder Director Tom Arnone, Monmouth County Counsel Michael Fitzgerald, and County Administrator Teri O’Connell, with copies to the Prosecutor’s Office and the FBI, wherein the former legislator alleges that Middleton was the author of the anonymous letter which alleged corruption in the ADP, that Curley referred, with great fanfare and press coverage, to the Prosecutor in September of 2015, during the height of his last reelection campaign.
