Dirty Harry, the Godfather’s consigliere and a porn star endorse Romney
Mitt Romney seems to be putting a dent in the Democratic Party’s support coming from Hollywood.
Clint Eastwood made Romney’s day with an endorsement at an Idaho fundraiser on Friday. Robert Duvall is holding a fund raiser for Romney at his home next month where Anne Romney will be in attendance. Neither Gov or Mrs. Romney were present when retired porn star Jenna Jameson announced her support for the Republican presidential candidate at a San Francisco strip club, but Jameson’s remarks to a CBS reporter covering the strip club’s anniversary party have garnered more media coverage than Eastwood’s and Duvall’s endorsements combined.
Eastwood’s endorsement is notable because many in the media spun his Halftime in America Super Bowl commerical for Chrysler as a tacit nod to Obama.

Some good news for a change. It was beginning to look like the Republican convention this year would only be a hoot for men with multiple wives.
Today’s announcement that Clint Eastwood, Robert Duvall and Jenna Jameson came out in support of Mitt may be a positive sign that good jazz, tango and other non standard dancing maybe on tap and whatever it is that Jenna brings to the confab will surely be a welcome addition.
In case anyone was beginning to have any doubt that the Republican brain trust was fore going research and retreating from substantive work on the issues of the day. Going Hollywood in other words this short note on other major news from the right may help:
Americans for Tax Reform, the anti-tax group headed by activist Grover Norquist, caused a stir this week when it released a report detailing the supposed tax burden America’s Olympic athletes face on the prize money they receive for winning medals.
The Olympians, ATR said, would owe “up to $9,000” in taxes on their medals and winnings, and that, the organization said, was a travesty — even though the money hardly differs from other prizes (like lottery winnings) that are taxed as normal income.
Right, dead on, something that the big government all the time gang snuck right by us and we caught them at it again.
Only problem and believe me it’s a small one, nothing that should concern you about most of what you have heard, believe and think you know on the issues that really matter, IT’s NOT TRUE.
U.S. Olympic Committee confirmed that US Athletes who win a medal, gold, bronze or silver, are not taxed on the retail or wholesale price of their medal.
2nd, U.S. Athlete’s medal or no, have the same right and privilege as any other self-employed or contracted out, direct hired hand or sub contractor, to put the pencil to the numbers, gather up the receipts and list their expenses and cost of goods produced as debits, than in the greatest feat of magic since Houdini broke his chains, make them easily and permanently appear as credits and keep them safe and spent on the cost of competing side.
