Ciattarelli aging rapidly?

Running against Lt. Gov Kim Guadagno must be a daunting task.

Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, one of Guadagno’s four opponents in the GOP primary for Governor, looks as though he’s aged more in a week than Barack Obama aged over 8 years in the White House, if his campaign mail is to be believed.

If you’re a Republican primary voter, you likely received two pieces of campaign mail from Ciattarelli in the last week.   The photo on the left is from the first piece.  The photo on the right is the second piece.  If Jack loses to Kim on June 6, he could have a future as Just for Men model.

Monmouth Republicans Will Have A Primary For Freeholder Nominations

Golden will refer potential fraud and forgeries to the Monmouth County Prosecutor

Freeholder candidates Pat Impreveduto and Lillian Burry will face a primary challenge on June 6

Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon ruled yesterday that the Freeholder slates endorsed by the Monmouth County Republican Organization and those submitted by the Ciattarelli for Governor campaign both had enough qualifying signatures on their nominating petitions to appear on the ballot for the June 6 primary.  Freeholder Director Lillian Burry and Holmdel Deputy Mayor Pat Impreveduto will be challenged by Dr. Bernard Dowd, a veterinarian from Oceanport and Susan Ellen Metz of Middletown.

Ciattarelli Freeholder Team’s Petitions Challenged

The nominating petitions filed by the Monmouth County Freeholder candidates aligned with Jack Ciattarelli for Governor appear to have fraudulent signatures and to have been falsely certified, according to a challenge filed by Monmouth County Republican Chairman Shaun Golden and an ongoing investigation by MMM.

In a letter to Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon obtained by MMM, Golden said that a review of the petitions filed by Bernard Dowd and Susan Ellen Metz revealed “a number of irregularities.” Golden wrote that several signatures appear to be in the same handwriting for multiple people,  several signers are not registered to vote and/or are registered Democrats.  Democrat voters are not eligible to vote in Republican primaries nor endorse candidates for those primaries.

Ciattarelli’s Slate Puts Monmouth in Play

April 1, 2017

Gary Rich and Bob Walsh will challenge Lillian Burry and Pat Impreveduto for Freeholder

Friendly rivals? Lt Gov Kim Guadagno and Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli

Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, Lt Governor Kim Guadagno’s only legitimate competitor for the GOP gubernatorial nomination in the June 6 GOP primary, conceded the Monmouth County GOP line to Guadagno at the Party convention on March 18.  But Ciattarelli is not conceding the County’s Republican primary votes to the “extraordinarily weak frontrunner.”

MoreMonmouthMusings has learned that the Ciattarelli campaign will file a full slate of Monmouth County legislative and county candidates with the Secretary of State and Monmouth County Clerk on Monday, the filing deadline.

Senator Jennifer Beck (R-Red Bank) told the Asbury Park Press Editorial Board today that Governor Chris Christie needs to choose between campaigning actively for Donald Trump or leading the State of New Jersey.

“If he is going to go on the campaign trail with Donald Trump, he cannot continue to serve as our governor,” she said in an editorial board meeting Wednesday with the Asbury Park Press. “The governorship of the state of New Jersey is more than a full-time job.”

Beck noted the success Christie had during his first term while he was engaged and leading the the way in Trenton. “I think he can lead if he is here,” she said.

Assemblywomen Amy Handlin echoed Beck’s sentitment, according to APP.

A reform plan to solve teachers’ pension problem once and for all | Opinion

somerset-county-director-jack-ciattarellijpg-734d8c01280cf4bbBy Jack Ciattarelli For decades, Trenton politicians from both parties have shied away from providing real long-term solutions. We can’t afford to wait any longer. Why are pension systems for municipal and county employees, as well as the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System, all solvent? Because the employer pension contributions to these systems are funded by… Read the rest of this entry »
