The candidate they chose will appear on the June 2 primary ballot in the same column as President Donald J. Trump, the Party’s U.S. Senate candidate (likely Rik Mehta), Freeholder Joe Vicari and the local candidates for municipal offices throughout the Ocean portions of the district.

Frank Holman defeated Frank Sadegi 254 -229 in a special election for Ocean County Republican Chairman, according to sources at the convention in Toms River.
Holman replaces George Gilmore who resigned one week after being convicted by a federal jury for failing to pay his employees payroll taxes and lying on a loan application.
The new chairman was supported the County’s legislative delegation and freeholders. Sadeghi was supported by Gilmore.
Former Monmouth County GOP Executive Director Tom Szymanski managed Holman’s campaign. Szymanski had a very good week. He managed Rob Acerra’s winning campaign in Ocean Township too.
