New Jersey will rely on a network of public and private health care providers to immunize millions of residents over the next year or so, according to a draft COVID-19 vaccine plan state officials released early this week.

While I could say the last few weeks have been very busy, the truth of the matter is that the County stays busy around the year with ongoing projects and initiatives.

Earlier this month, I had the honor of joining Middletown Mayor Tony Perry and the Middletown Committee, as well as, Congressman Chris Smith at a press conference hosted by Middletown to launch their Economic Relief Program to assist their small businesses impacted by COVID-19.

Moran and Doherty announce they are divorcing

Maggie Moran and Matt Doherty announced on facebook this afternoon that Maggie is gay and that they are divorcing.

Moran was former Governor Jon Corzine’s Deputy Chief of Staff and is prominent Democrat strategist. Doherty is the Executive Director of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and a former Belmar mayor.

Schmid stands by her lies

Stephanie Schmid, the unemployed lawyer who lives with her mother and is running against Congressman Chris Smith, hung up on a reporter when given the chance to correct documented lies in her campaign mailer about Smith’s votes on protecting healthcare coverage with people with preexisting conditions and an “age tax.”

Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon launched a website yesterday to make it easier for Monmouth voters confirm that their ballots have been received by the Board of Elections.

MonmouthCounty.BallotTrax.net is simple and easy to use. It took me less than a minute to confirm that my ballot has been received.

Smith and Van Drew propose Social Security Increases for Seniors

New Jersey’s Republican congressmen, Chris Smith (NJ-4) and Jeff Van Drew (NJ-2) today proposed legislation that would retroactively grant a cost of living (COLA) increase to senior citizens collecting social security for 2020 and further increase seniors’ income in 2021, according to an announcement from Smith office.
