Andrew Lucas transferred to a halfway house

Former Manalapan Mayor Andrew Lucas has been transferred to a residential reentry facility in preparation of his October 23, 2019 release from federal custody, according to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

Lucas, 41, was convicted on 11 counts of wire fraud, making an illegal monetary transaction, loan application fraud, making false statements to the Internal Revenue Service, aggravated identity theft, obstruction of a grand jury investigation and falsification of records on September 18, 2014.

Fligor Not Ruling Out Running For Mayor Of Atlantic Highlands

Seven term Atlantic Highlands Councilman F. Lou Fligor told MMM that he has not ruled out running for mayor of the borough as an Independent candidate this year.  He has until June 4 to file nominating petitions.

First elected to the council in 1995 as a Republican, Fligor won his seventh term running as an Independent in 2016 with the support of a bi-partisan coalition led by former Mayor Fred Rast and local Democrat Party Chair Regina Hawley Keelen.

Ocean Township Elections Results Hold

The number of mail-in ballots that arrived at the Monmouth County Board of Elections at the 8PM Thursday deadline is insufficient to alter to unofficial result of the non-partisan Ocean Township municipal election reported  on Tuesday night, MMM as learned.

Mail in Ballots Could Determine 5th Spot on Ocean Township Council

The Advocates for Ocean / Ocean Taxpayer Coalition mystery PAC team waiting for vote counts on Tuesday night

Hundreds of vote by mail ballots for the Ocean Township non-partisan municipal election have yet to be returned to the Board of Elections, according to a Monmouth County election official.  Ballots postmarked on or before May 14 that arrive in Freehold before 8 p.m tonight will be included in the official count under a law signed by Governor Phil Murphy.

Frank Holman elected Ocean GOP Chairman

Ocean GOP Chairman Frank Holman

Frank Holman defeated Frank Sadegi 254 -229 in a special election for Ocean County Republican Chairman, according to sources at the convention in Toms River.

Holman replaces George Gilmore who resigned one week after being convicted by a federal jury for failing to pay his employees payroll taxes and lying on a loan application.

The new chairman was supported the County’s legislative delegation and freeholders.   Sadeghi was supported by Gilmore.

Former Monmouth County GOP Executive Director Tom Szymanski managed Holman’s campaign.  Szymanski had a very good week.  He managed Rob Acerra’s winning campaign in Ocean Township too.

Gilmore: Irrational Jury Convicted Him

George Gilmore, the RINO Chairman of the Ocean County GOP (Resigned In Name Only) is asking U.S. District Court Senior Judge Anne Thompson to throw out his convictions for failing to turn over is employees payroll taxes to the IRS and for lying on a loan application “because no rational jury” could have convicted him based on the evidence, according to brief filed with the Court and a report at New Jersey Law Journal.

Ocean County Republicans will elect a new chairman tonight in Toms River.

Dr. Margie Donlon is the top vote getter in the non-partisan municipal election in Ocean Township.

If the unofficial results hold once all vote by mail ballots are received and counted, the Ocean Township Council starting on July 1 will be Donlon, Christoper Siciliano, the current Mayor, Dr. David Fisher, Councilman Rob Acerra and Councilman John Napolitani.
