Monmouth Vocational Schools Ranked Best in New Jersey

The Monmouth County Vocational School District has been ranked the top school district in New Jersey by BackroundChecks.org, an online directory and portal for accessing public records and running background checks.

MCVSD is comprised of five high schools; Academy of Allied Health & Science, Biotechnology High School, Communications High School, High Technology High School, and Marine Academy of Science and Technology. 

The district bested Bergen County Vocational Technical School District, Somerset County Vocational And Technical Schools, Mountain Lakes Public School District, and Ocean County Vocational and Technical School District in the top five.

BackgroundChecks comprised the rankings by analyzing statistic from the U.S. Department of Education and National Center for Educational Statistic.  The following contributed to the ranking: number of students (K-12)graduation rateteacher qualityschool fundingstudent to teacher ratiostandardized test results (reading and math; the percentage of students scoring at or above state proficiency level.

While MCVSD earned the top spot statewide, the district was the only one from Monmouth County to land in the top 25.

    The Academy of Law & Public Safety is a part of MCVSD. It is a 2 year high school where students graduate from ALPS, not the high schools where they live at. Students are at ALPS 11th and 12th grade. It is the 6th full-time school.
