Bait and Switch: “Meet and Greet” turns into “Debate”
Asbury Park, NJ – When Jersey Shore Tea Party president, Mark Falzon, invited conservative Republican congressional candidate Ernesto Cullari to speak to his organization on Wednesday, May 23, Falzon said the event would be a “meeting with his members”.
Now Anna Little, Cullari’s opponent in the June 5th primary, and the Bayshore Tea Party Group, which is supporting Little, have created a Facebook invite that hypes the event a little differently: “Debate! Anna Little vs. Ernesto Cullari!”
“I’m happy to go anywhere to meet people, but this is the wrong venue for a debate,” said Cullari, who is seeking the nomination in New Jersey’s 6th congressional district, now held by liberal Democrat Frank Pallone. “Mark Falzon is one of Bayshore founder Barbara Gonzalez’ closest allies. I look forward to a debate, but on neutral territory.”
“We have a lot of questions we want to put to Anna Little,” said Cullari manager Kelly Hart, “Like why Little is running on the Bayshore ticket with Bader Qarmout.” Little, an immigration attorney, is on the Bayshore Tea Party Group “ticket” with U.S. Senate candidate Bader Qarmout. Qarmout is the author of a controversial amnesty plan for illegal immigrants. For a nominal fee of $19.25 a week, Qarmout’s plan would allow an illegal immigrant to remain in the United States, work here, open a bank account, and obtain a driver’s license.
“The Qarmout-Little team would let illegals stay in the United States for $2.75 a day – less than the price of a Big Mac,” said Hart. “It is the most liberal amnesty plan being pushed by a Republican candidate anywhere in America.”

Never liked or trusted Falzone. This sure sounds like a sleazy way to set up a confrontation (er debate) ; worse at a possibly non neutral event.
But but at the same time; Ernesto should be prepared to debate any place at any time.

Anna Little has not endorsed Bader Qarmout or any other candidate for any other office! The Monmouth GOP chairman put Little on a random line! She is on the line with Romney and Kyrillos in Middlesex!
Rullo is solid deportation & called out Kyrillos for Freeholds illegal probems! Kyrillos looked the other way for two decades! It is what it is.
What new fresh hell is this? I sent out an email from information I received about an event, so that the members of BTPG could attend. I did not have anything to do with arranging or organizing this event. I do not recall posting a FB event page. If I did, I still don’t see a problem with it, but I just don’t recall doing so. MOST of the tea party groups are allies, so for you to say that Ernesto won’t meet at a venue because Mark and I are “allies”…well, that speaks volumes. Now, as for the “running on the Bayshore ticket” thing goes…really? what the hell is that about? We endorsed different candidates. That does not tie them together. I am beginning to really appreciate why people go third party because quite frankly, I am totally disgusted with what used to be my political party. I have never been so sure in my life that I will vote with my conscience, no matter what. Now, go ahead and dish your nasty comments….I stopped caring a long, long time ago.

Poppy-cock and boulder-dash. Ernesto’s CM was copied on the e-mail announcing the debate 2 weeks ago.
He claimed in a phone call last week we conducted and he initiated that he did not receive that mail. During that call I told him about the mail and proceeded to inform him of what that mail contained.
So if Ernesto wants to duck his opponent, that is his perogative. If Art wants to obfuscate, that also is his perogative.
Our TP group has conducted many candidate vetting sessions and we pride ourselves on even-handedness and fair play. Our group has not endorsed ANYONE this cycle. Bayshore, in conjunction with other TP groups has made public candidate endorsements, we have not joined them. I am friends w/Barbara at Bayshore and have the utmost respect for her, but Jersey Shore is an independent entity.
Our meeting is open as are our minds but after this escapade, there is little doubt I will be seeking our group endorse Anna Little.

I expected “More” from Art and I am surprised by this brazen, transparent attempt to shield that poor little Ernesto from that big bad lady, Anna. I find it difficult to support any candidate who ducks from facing their opponent and further, uses surrogates to cover his escape.

I happen to know Mark Falzon, and I do not believe he would sucker-punch Ernesto Cullari in this way. Perhaps the email went astray (it has happened before) or there was a miscommunication (that has happened before).
Before we all get our knickers in a bunch, perhaps all need to take a breath (especially the rullobots) and work for the candidate we believe has the best chance defeating incumbent liberal democrats.
Fighting each other makes me wonder on whose side some people really are and whether or not provocateurs have infiltrated our ranks.

While it may have been shared on the BTPG facebook page, I received no official invitation from Bayshore. The invitation, in it’s entirety has been forwarded to both Art Gallagher’s and Kelly Hart’s facebook pages (in case you didn’t receive the original).

I do have a question, though. I’m looking at the list of invitees on the JSTP facebook event from May 15th. While Anna Little is on the list, I don’t see Ernesto or Kelly Hart. Were they sent an invite?
We at Bayshore vetted Ernesto Cullari, and though He seems nice enough and well meaning, he lacked the knowledge to go against the NJ machine.They will chew him up and spit him right back at the Republican Party. Maybe he got cold feet or those who are handling his campaign are in for Menendez.

I heard Ernesto Cullari speak, he was nice, like him, but he sounded naive and uninformative. I would not vote for him, They will have him for lunch.
Who cares about any of this. And when Mulshine has to link to the trash on CNJ who had to change their name because no one cared, it only shows how much more irrelevent Mulshine has become. And he complains about Bader Qarmout when he supports Ron Paul who doesn’t see anything wrong with Iran having a nuclear weapon? What planet has Mulshine been on and exactly how much of what has he been drinking? Mulshine is no more a conservative than Harry Reid.

Those who said that Anna was a big spender don’t get it. She cut costs everywhere, even had us write on both sides of scrap paper. The current council, Mayor Nolan and Rick Oneil (the two rinos) approved replacement doors for Borough Hall, yea personal memorials… The names of all the council members are engraved in the glass… Now if anyone looses next year, you guessed it New doors. We are very disappointed that Mr. Cullari is not going to join the discussion. We were looking forward to asking why he signed the RNC Resolution Exposing UN Agenda 21, which clearly exposes the UN and Agenda 21 as threats to US sovereignty, but is of the opinion the US should remain in the UN anyway. In fact he clearly states on his Facebook page: “Leaving the UN is not an option.”

Are you people crazy or what? Little or Cullari I have not decided, I was hoping to see the debate and decide. Ernesto is missing an opportunity by listening to Hart. She will destroy his campaign. If Cullari does not show up, my mind will be made.
Now as for Bader Qarmout, lets not let the Butt boogers at CNJ label this good conservative as anything but what he is, a solid conservative. Everyone who is reading this heard Bader Qarmout speak at one event or another, and most heard him speak twice. We all know who and what Qarmout is and stands for. We all know that his immigration reform plan may not be perfect, it certainly not amnesty. The plan from Qarmout is more than what the current politicians have given us. If we get rid of the criminal illegals and shut the border, we will have about 15 million illegals, who are in America and not paying taxes. Why not get them to pay 20.00 a week for 10 years. Lets do the math, that comes out to $150 Billion Dollars (off of Qarmout’s website) and they will be paying taxes and keep money in America (we want them to open bank accounts) its a win/win/win. According to Qarmout website, they can not vote. The illegals are here anyway, why not fix Reagan’s mistake. The real criminals are the politicians like Joe Kyrillos who have done nothing with all the illegals in Monmouth County specially Freehold. Our group, Jersey Shore hasn’t endorsed anyone and this debate was to resolve that issue. I will debate you, sure. But why limit the topic? John McClott – there is absolutely nothing wrong for a democrat, like Mark Falzon, who happens to be an old fashioned democrat conservative, running a Tea Party group. I only wish we had more conservative democrats who could balance out the extreme left wing which has taken over their party.
Taxed Enough Already applies to everyone, democrats, independents and republicans. Mark should be welcomed by all conservatives to this fight for respect for the constitution, limited government and spending within our means.

McClott, or Sherlock, it is widely known I am a Dem and I make zero effort to conceal it. I came out of NYC. I see no issue with an old style Dem who supports the Constitution being involved in the TP Movement. We are around, i.e Koch helping the GOP’s Turner win the Dems Weiner seat.
Hart was involved w/Bayshore for a while but in 09 and early 10 when Bayshore was getting started Hart was not involved.
The boxscore reads one cheap shot and one inaccuracy.

Kelly helped plan a very successful fundraiser for BTPG which was held last year. We thanked her for the excellent job she did. Our Tea Party group was established on July 4th 2009. Kelly’s only contribution was this fundraiser, and again, we appreciated her efforts in that endeavor.
While you are doing your “background checks” on Little, try doing a thourough one on Cullari’s manager…..he obviously didn’t.
Wow! Is this the same Kelly Hart that campaigned for Anna last time? What a 180 she did. No hard feelings but why? What doesn’t make sense to me is that Anna Little hasn’t changed her position, not even one little bit, since last election. Why then, would you want to back a guy who’s not even registered to vote in the district for which he’s running? I, for one, am grateful that Anna is solid in her beliefs.

Maybe Kelly is not behind Anna because Anna has trouble working with people, especially campaign managers; having been through 3 or 4 the first time around. This time, I think it’s at least two campaign managers; and I am of the understanding she now has none.
BTW, Leigh Ann Bellew backed her in 2010; I am not so sure that she is this time around. Word has it they had a falling out as well.
It’s a matter of Anna being a very difficult person to work for and being a person who will not take sage and seasoned advice. Oh yeah, and then there are those votes in the Highlands.
