A three day investigation launched by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office last Thursday led to the seizure of a total of 17 long-guns, 13 handguns, over 21 containers of ammunition and explosives. Three men were arrested, according to a statement by Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Investigators received information regarding an individual storing explosives and destructive materials in a Howell residence. On Friday night September 16, detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office and the Howell Township Police Department executed a search warrant at 191 Ford Road with the assistance of the New Jersey State Police Arson/Bomb Unit and a K-9 unit from the Bradley Beach Police Department. A registered sex offender from Hazlet was arrested on Friday, August 25, and charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl over multiple months and photographing her on at least one occasion, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Michael J. Gwiazdowski, 51, of 71 Bayshore Mobile Manor, faces two counts of second degree Sexual Assault, one count of fourth degree Violating Community Supervision for Life, one count of third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by engaging in sexual conduct, one count of first degree Causing or Permitting a Child to Engage in Child Pornography, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Gwiazdowski is in the custody of the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold, pending a detention hearing scheduled for Wednesday August 30 before Judge Vincent Falcetano, J.S.C. Read the rest of this entry »

Andre P. Parker, 31, of Sunset Avenue in Asbury Park, and Tara R. Robinson, 43, of Lawrence Avenue in the Ocean Grove section of Neptune Township, were indicted with multiple counts of animal cruelty and related charges by a Monmouth County Grand Jury today, according to an announcement by Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
The indictment is the result of a joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MCSPCA), Asbury Park and Neptune Township police departments.
The investigation revealed that in January and February of this year, Parker caused a one- to two-year-old pit bull mix, known as Destiny, to become severely abused. Read the rest of this entry »

Asma Hussain, 42, apparently shot her husband, Arshad Zarak, 52, twice in the head before taking her own life with a shot to the head, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Holmdel Township Police Department responded to a 911 call from a teenage male, at about 1:20 p.m., on August 10, 2017. The caller reported finding the couple unresponsive in the master bedroom of their home at 4 Paddington Court in the township, located within the neighborhood known as “The Reserve at Holmdel.” The police found the obviously dead bodies of Zarak and Hussain. Dr. Saad A. Saad, 71 of Red Bank, was charged with second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child and fourth degree Criminal Sexual Contact by a Monmouth County Grand Jury last week over an incident that occurred while he was examining a 17 year old female patient at Meridian Pediatric Associates in Eatontown on May 1, 2017.
Saad is the Pediatric Surgeon-in-Chief at the K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, according to his practice’s website. He is an attending at five hospitals in Monmouth and Ocean Counties and is an assistant professor of surgery at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

UPDATE: Abbie was found dead in the vicinity of her home this morning. Her death in being investigated as a homicide.
A Monmouth County law enforcement source confirmed that Abbie Smith, the 11 year old Keansburg girl who went missing last night, has been located. The source would not confirm that she is safe and sound. “All I can tell you is that she has been located and that we are talking to her family,” the source said.
Charles Webster, spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said that Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni will be meeting the the press at the Keansburg Police Department sometime after 12:30 this afternoon.

Todd Fulton, 43, a certified nursing assistant from Hazlet, pleaded guilty on Monday to sexually assaulting a female patient who was in his care at the then Monmouth County owned Geraldine Thompson Care Center in Wall Township in 2015, according to an announcement by Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
A Monmouth County Grand Jury indicted Fulton on last month for first degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, one count of second degree Sexual Assault and one count of second degree Official Misconduct. He pleaded guilty to one count of second degree Sexual Assault and one count of second degree Official Misconduct before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Thomas F. Scully.
