Booker: ‘I have deep concern about the future of our country’

assetcontent-60

WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Cory Booker said Sunday that “people are so fearful” in the wake of Tuesday’s election and expressed “deep concern” about America’s future. Speaking on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Booker (D-N.J.) decried the tone of the just-concluded campaign run by President-elect Donald Trump, who received enough electoral votes to become U.S. chief executive… Read the rest of this entry »

Wisniewski: “Nothing yet implicates the governor” “We don’t have any proof”

CHAIRMAN QUESTIONS WILDSTEIN’S CREDIBILITY

The purpose of the investigation in not a probe of Christie. The purpose to the change the culture of the Port Authority.

Assemblyman John Wisniewski, the Democratic Co-Chairman of the joint legislative committee investigating the George Washington Bridge lane closures last September, almost sounded as if he was defending Governor Chris Christie yesterday morning during an appearance on NBC’s Meet The Press.

In the wake of the media frenzy caused by the released of the letter written by the attorney representing David Wildstein, the former Port Authority official who order the lane closures, that asserted that  “evidence exists” that Christie knew about the lane closures while they were happening,  Wisniewski raised questions about Wildstein’s credibility and said emphatically, multiple times, that there is no proof that Christie was involved in the incident.

Netanyahu: You want these fanatics to have nuclear weapons?

Those who say a nuclear Iran would stabilize the Middle East “have set a new standard for human stupidity.”

In an interview to be aired on NBC’s Meet the Press this morning, Israeli Prime Ministers Benjamin Netanyanhu likened the government of Iran to the terrorists that have been killing American citizens and destroying American property in 21 Middle Eastern countries this week:

Booker fears Obama’s wrath more than he fears burning buildings

Newark Mayor Cory Booker caused a stir on NBC’s Meet The Press yesterday morning by defending private equity firms, Mitt Romney’s role at Bain Capital and calling the negative ads coming from both Romney and Obama supporters “nauseating.”

Booker, who made headlines last month when he ran into a burning house to save the lives of his neighbors, was calling for a higher level of political discourse, urging both campaigns to lift the country by focusing on the big issues rather than getting bogged down in the small minded attacks.

During his Meet The Press appearance, Booker said he was on the phone with the White House often and that he was a surrogate for the President’s campaign.

There must of been some high level phone calls to the Mayor after the NBC appearance.  Probably from Vice President Joe Biden’s gaffe handlers.   A few hours after Bookers remarks threatened politics are we know it, the Mayor took to YouTube to restore normalcy.

The heat coming from Washington must of been hotter than the fire the Mayor ran into.  It became a threat to the fire in his belly.

Is Newt Gingrich an embarrassment to the party?

Governor Chris Christie went on Meet the Press this morning and called Newt Gingrich an embarrassment to the Republican party.

“I think Newt Gingrich has embarrassed the party over time,” Christie said. “Whether he’ll do it again in the future I don’t know, but Gov. Romney never has.”

“We all know the record, I mean he was run out of the speakership by his own party, he was fined $300,000 for ethics violations. This is a guy that’s had a very difficult political career at times and has been an embarrassment to the party. I don’t need to regale the country with the entire list again … but sometimes, past is prologue.”
