Rally For Christie, 13th District and Monmouth County Republicans on Saturday

Chris Christie at Bachstadt's Tavern, November 1, 2009

Chris Christie at Bachstadt’s Tavern, November 1, 2009

Governor Chris Christie will be returning to Bachstadt’s Tavern in North Middletown on Saturday afternoon, November 2, as his bi-partisan supporters rally to get out the vote for a historic victory.

Bachstadt’s, the traditional venue of Senator Joe Kyrillos’s and his 13th District running mates pre-election rallies, was adopted by Christie for good luck in his 2009 race against Jon Corzine.  It was at the Bachstadt’s rally in 2009 that Kyrillos announced that the troubled Corzine campaign was making robo calls for Independent gubernatorial candidate Chris Daggett, in an unsuccessful effort to suppress Christie’s voter turnout.  MMM confirmed that the calls were paid for by Democrats and was the first to break that story which became national news.

In addition to Christie, 13th District Legislators Kyrillos and Assembly Members Amy Handlin and Declan O’Scanlon, and Monmouth County candidates, Sheriff Shaun Golden and Freeholders Tom Arnone and Serena DiMaso will be present to thank and rally their supporters.

The event is from 1PM-4PM and includes all you can eat and drink for FREE!  Voluntary donations to any the 13th District or Monmouth County candidates will be accepted.

Bachstadt’s is located at 8 Bray Ave, North Middletown, NJ.

In addition to Bachstadt’s on Saturday, Christie will visit Monmouth County Republican Headquarters, 2 Monmouth Ave, Freehold, on Monday morning November 4 at 11:45 am.

Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno will be meeting voters and volunteers on Friday morning, 10:45 at the Middletown Victory Center, 1715 Rt 35 North, Middletown and at the Blue Swan Diner, 2116 Route 35 South, Oakhurst at 11:45 am..  On Tuesday, Guadagno will stop on Monmouth Republican Headquarters at 2:30 PM.

New Poll: Who should Governor Christie appoint to the U.S. Senate if Menendez resigns?

A technical glitch prompted the deletion of the poll we were running, Who should Governor Christie appoint to the U.S. Senate if Menendez resigns?  Given that the poll was the most popular post of the last few days, we decided on a do over.

Surprisingly, 2010 congressional candidate Scott Sipprelle was leading the poll by a wide margin before we took it down this morning.  Sipprelle had 39% if the votes, followed by State Senator Joe Kyrillos with 19%.  Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno and Congressman Chris Smith each had 12%.   Here are the results of the original poll.

We’ve added former Highlands Mayor Anna Little’s name to the mix because we had a couple of complaints that she was excluded.

An Open Letter to Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno

Attn: Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno
Re: Ballot Challenge- Purpora v Obama
Date: April 12, 2012
From: Dwight Kehoe

Dear Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno,
First let me introduce myself to you. Although we have met several times at campaign stops, those introductions were but a handshake and a hello.
I am and have been active in several Tea Party groups here in NJ and when with the Bayshore Tea Party we worked feverishly to help win the election for you and Governor Christie.  I also run and edit the Tea Party coordination and information website, www.tpath.org

The reason I am writing is because it will be you who decides if the administrative court hearing this past week in Judge Jeff Masin’s court room, was valid and should be upheld.  I write this not knowing if it is too late and your decision has already been handed down.

First I would like to ask why, so many times in court rooms across this country, judges and justices, can’t make a ruling based on the intent of the law as opposed to verbal gymnastics and merciless twisting of the objective and purpose of the statutes?

My point is that the people have become so disenchanted with the legal process and no longer feel they can depend on the laws to protect them against high priced word jockeys.

The ballot case which challenged Mr. Obama’s credentials and eligibility to be on a New Jersey ballot and hence, serve as President of the United States was brought for two main reasons.  Both the State of NJ and the Federal Government wrote laws with the intent of maintaining the integrity of the election process. Why can’t one honest judge or Secretary of State make a ruling based on the intent and reason for those laws?  Why write them, why vote on them if there is no effort to enforce them?

Here are the points:

1. Mr. Obama has shown no credible evidence of where he was born.  When his petition was challenged, its very clear the intent of NJ Title 19 requires that a candidate prove his identity and qualifications.

2. John Jay, the first leader of the US Supreme court contacted George Washington and asked that the special provision of Natural born citizen be include in Article II.  He did that for the purpose and intent of the term used in that time and which persists today except in court rooms where manipulation of the law is allowed.

So far there has not been one individual of authority, in any party or any position, who has shown the backbone and courage to make a ruling based on the intent of the law and the reason it was written.

For the sake of the future I pray that you will take the meaning of the laws and ignore the manipulations and rule appropriately.

Warm regards,
Dwight Kehoe

New State Strategic Plan

UPDATE: Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno is scheduled to attend tonight’s hearing at Monmouth University.

The State Planning Commission continues the introduction of its new plan, which is a revision of the 2001 State Development and Redevelopment Plan, with public hearings this week.

Locally, there will be a hearing on Tuesday, February 28,  at Monmouth University, Bey Hall, 400 Cedar Ave, West Long Branch.  The hearing is scheduled for 6PM with public comment and questions at 7PM.

There will be a hearing in Morris Township on Monday and in Bordentown on Wednesday.  Click here for details.

The plan sets forth a vision for the future of our State along with strategies to achieve that vision. It is the culmination of several years of work by the State and its staff in collaboration with county and local stakeholders and members of the public, according to the State Planning Commission’s website.

There has been some growing grassroots opposition and pointed questioning of the plan by Tea Party members and opponents of UN Agenda 21.   Opponents are expressing concerns of the loss of private property rights, local control and sovereignty.

Governor Chris Christie’s Press Conference On The Strom

“This was not a Republcian storm or a Democratic storm”

Governor Christie makes his opening remarks to the press after signing a letter to President Obama requesting FEMA disaster relief.  The Governor praised his  leadership team for the work they did dealing with the strom and  praised Senate President Steve Sweeney for his non-partisan partnership. He described the preparation for the storm, the execution of the plan to deal with the storm, and events that occurred during the blizzard.

Governor Christie addresses the circumstances of both he and Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno being away from New Jersey for five days.

“It was not a matter of equipment.  It was a matter of the amount of the snowfall and the intensity of the snowfall.” ~ Transportation Commissioner James Simpson

Governor Christie address the inaccurate reports of a decline in the amount of state equipment available to manage storms in the past year.  Transportation Commission James Simpson describes the use of the equipment and the conditions he and his team were dealing with.

CLASSIC CHRISTIE

“I made the decision to be a father first.”

This segment is classic Christie. The Governor describes his decision to go on vacation with his family while preparing for the storm.  He delivers a counter-punch to  Senator Ray Lesniak who has been critical of the Governor and Lt. Governor this week.  He addresses the antiquity of the sucession procedure of the State Constitution and he describes working with Senator Sweeney via phone during the course of the crisis.

Coming next year (probably some time over the weekend)….Chrisite slams mayors who blame the conditions in their towns on the State.  He singles out Brick Mayor Steve Acropolis in particular.

Happy New Year!    Thank you for being a loyal MMM reader in 2010.  ~ Art
