Pezzullo Blasts Pallone For Taking Money From Facebook

Rich Pezzullo

Rich Pezzullo, the Republican candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 6th Congressional District, blasted Congressman Frank Pallone today for accepting $7000 in campaign contributions from facebook.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Pallone has received $7000 from facebook since 2010, including  $2,500 for this year’s election.

“Frank Pallone has taken $7,000 from Facebook since 2010,” Pezzullo marveled. “Seven thousand dollars,” he repeated, to a group of voters in Middlesex County. “And he has the gall to sit up there and claim he’s an unbiased observer, to claim he’s representing his district?” Read the rest of this entry »

NJ Dem Chair Gets Pension Boosting Job

NJ Dem Chairman John Currie, standing between Congressman Frank Pallone and state Senator Vin Gopal in 2014. That’s Dem Freeholder candidate Lawrence Luttrell, left of U.S. Senator Cory Booker

Congratulations to NJ Democratic Party Chairman John Currie on his new job as the Public Information Officer of the Passaic County Board of Social Services.  And congratulations to the Board on finally finding the right man for the job after an exhaustive 14 year search.

Currie is the perfect man for the $92,000 part time job because, as the head of the Passaic County Democrats, the New Jersey Democrats, the Passaic Board of Elections and his partnership in a Chevrolet dealership, “he knows everybody,” BSS director Tony Desimone told The Record. Pallone held a Town Hall Last Week! Who Knew?

I was surprised to learn this morning that Congressman Frank Pallone held a Town Hall in Long Branch last week.

From the size of the crowd, which you can see in the video below, one could conclude that is was a very poorly publicized event, which is a shame.  I would have gladly publicized it, free of charge.   It doesn’t take “so many citizens” to be inspired, I guess.

Trump says he’s considering closing the government because Dems blocked Dreamer protections and border wall

President Donald Trump tweeted that he is considering veto of the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill that will keep the government funded because Democrats blocked his proposal to protect the country’s 800,000 dreamers—illegal immigrants who came to the United States as children.

Pallone voted against Gateway project funding

Congressman Frank Pallone

Congressman Frank Pallone broke from the bipartisan majority of the New Jersey delegation to vote against the federal omnibus spending bill which includes $540 million in funding for the Gateway project–the proposed new tunnel under the Hudson River–that has been touted as a critical infrastructure project for both the regional and national economy.

But you wouldn’t know that Phony Pallone voted against the bill if you visited his congressional website.  There he touts as accomplishments pet projects of his that were included in the bill– a whole $1.5 million in brownfields funding to assist small communities, tribes, and rural or disadvantaged areas and special recognition for a Woodbridge site to become a park with 7000 feet of trails and a 800 foot boardwalk.  Read the rest of this entry »

Pallone and Pelosi block hope for terminally ill patients

Congressman Frank Pallone

Congressman Frank Pallone and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi rallied House Democrats to block the passage of legislation supported by President Trump that would allow terminally ill patients to try to extend their lives by using experimental drugs that have not been approved by the FDA.

President Trump called for the “right to try” legislation in his State of the Union Address.  The U.S. Senate passed the bill unanimously and there is bi-partisan support for the bill in the House.

The bill was up for a ‘fast track’ vote in the House on Tuesday, which requires passage with votes from two-thirds of the chamber.  The vote was 250 aye to 140 no, falling short of the two-thirds requirement. Read the rest of this entry »

Pezzullo to challenge Pallone

Rich Pezzullo

Conservative businessman Rich Pezzullo announced last night that he will seek the GOP nomination to challenge Congressman Frank Pallone in the 6th Congressional District of New Jersey (parts of Monmouth and Middlesex counties).

Pezzullo declared his candidacy at the Middlesex County Republican Women’s Club’s annual Reagan Day celebration.

“We can no longer allow enemies of American progress like Frank Pallone to represent us when he and others like him are spending every day trying to hold our nation back. I am challenging him because I believe that the Sixth District deserves so much better — a representative they can rely on, that they can be proud of,” Pezzullo told the gathering. “Pallone was elected to Congress 30 years ago and has not accomplished anything. He is too far left even for his own rabidly leftist party. Isn’t it time for a Congressman who will work for a living?” Read the rest of this entry »

Phony Pallone votes against reopening the government

Congressman Frank Pallone

Despite his rhetoric against the U.S. government shutdown, Congressman Frank Pallone voted against the continuing resolution which reopened the government after giving ‘non-essential’ federal employees an unscheduled three day weekend.

Pallone issued a statement on Monday blaming President Trump and the Republicans in Congress for the shutdown which started on Saturday morning:

House passes Conceal Carry Reciprocity, Smith and Pallone vote No

The U. S. House of Representatives passed the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 today, 231-198 with six Democrats voting ‘Aye.’  Fourteen Republicans voted against the bill, including Chris Smith and Leonard Lance of New Jersey.  Congressman Frank Pallone, who along with Smith represents Monmouth County, voted against the bill.

“Today, the House took action to protect our citizens’ Second Amendment rights,” said House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., in a statement. “The truth is that concealed carry laws save lives. Right now, current law creates confusion for people who cross state borders with a lawful concealed carry permit. The legislation passed by the House today ensures that people who carry their legal firearm across state borders are protected under the law.” Read the rest of this entry »
