Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season with family and friends. The holidays always seem to come and go too fast.

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders reorganization meeting was held last week and I am honored to say I was selected to serve as director of the Board. Ferries Canceled For Second Day

Ice Field 15 Inches Thick Prompts Cancellation Of Ferry Service

Seastreak has cancelled its ferry service on Monday January 8 due to an ice field that has formed between the Atlantic Highlands and Sandy Hook which extends to Staten Island, according to an announcement by the company.  The ice field is up to 15 inches thick. Read the rest of this entry »

Curley’s Unhinged Nutty Tantrum

Disgraced Freeholder John P. Curley was Censured and Reprimanded for, among other offenses, offering to teach a teenager “how to sweat a pipe.”

Kooky Curley calls for massive County spending increase

Disgraced Freeholder John P. Curley invoked Hubert Humphrey, Mark Twain, his father, brother, mother and God yesterday in a bizarre battle cry against his fellow freeholders and Monmouth County Republican Chairman Shaun Golden during the County’s annual Reorganization Meeting at Biotechnology High School in Freehold Township.

The audience clapped politely at the end of the rant while Curley glared at Golden who was sitting in the front row.

Missing from the audience was the small troop of supporters who showed up wearing I Stand With John Curley stickers at the Special Meeting last month when the absent Curley was Censured and Reprimanded for sexually harassing County employees and other atrocious behavior. Monmouth Freeholders to strip Curley of most of his duties

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders will strip disgraced Freeholder John P. Curley of most of his duties when the Board reorganizes on Friday afternoon at Biotechnology High School in Freehold, according to the meeting agenda.

Curley, who was Censured and Reprimanded by his colleagues last month for harassment, bullying and using vulgar language toward County employees and constituents—including a teenager, using homophobic slurs, and for lying to the retired Acting Supreme Court Justice who investigated the harassment complaints against him, has been the Freeholder Liaison to Brookdale Community College, The County Fire Marshall and Fire Academy, the Board of Health and the Division of Aging, Disabilities and Veterans Services. Monmouth County’s Reorganization Postponed Till Friday

Pat Impreveduto and Lillian Burry will take the Oath of Office as Freeholders on January 5

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders have rescheduled their 2018 Reorganization Meeting until Friday, January 5 at 3PM, due to the expected snowmageddon.  The meeting had been scheduled for Thursday, January 4.

The Freeholders will hold their workshop meeting at 12:30 p.m. in the Hall of Records on Friday as well.

Freeholder-elect Patrick Impreveduto will be sworn into office at the meeting. Freeholder Lillian Burry will take the Oath of Office for her fifth term on the Board.

Tom Arnone will be Freeholder Director in 2018.  Burry will be Deputy Director.

The meeting will take place at BioTechnology High School, 5000 Kozloski Rd in Freehold Township.

Christie’s Bridgegate Defense Lawyer Named Interim U.S. Attorney

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions appointed Craig Carpenito Interim U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey today, according to an announcement by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

“Craig Carpenito has experience in private practice, with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and as an Assistant United States Attorney,” Attorney General Sessions said. “He has successfully prosecuted white collar criminals and fraudsters, and as Interim United States Attorney for New Jersey, he will continue to put criminals out of business—and behind bars.” Read the rest of this entry »
