However, his company issued a statement to NewJerseyGlobe which blamed the company’s external business agent, Harvard Business Services of Lewes, Delaware, for failing to dissolve the company during the summer of 2017.
During a candidates’ forum in February, while he was competing for the Democrat nomination for Congress in CD-4, Welle told the Democrat activists present that his company was dissolved and that no one owns it.

Congressman Chris Smith, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs’ Subcommittee on Global Health, will hold a hearing on China’s role in the manufacturing and distribution of fentanyl, the synthetic opioid that is killing thousands of American citizens, on Thursday, September 6, 2 p.m., in the Rayburn House Office Building. Miguel Hernandez Colon, an 85 year old veteran of the Korean War, was honored for his military service by Congressman Chris Smith yesterday afternoon during a surprise ceremony attended by Hernandez’s family and friends at the Active Day Adult Day Health Center, in Hamilton.
Hernandez served in the 65th Infantry Regiment, based in Puerto Rico, from 1952 through 1954 and as a reservist for seven years. His unit, known and the “Borinqueneers,” was one of the last segregated units in the U.S. Military.

Congressman Chris Smith was in Hamilton on Tuesday to celebrate the installation of a new 1.9 million, 5000 panel, solar power array at Ingersoll-Rand’s Trane Residential HVAC manufacturing facility.
The plant, which has been operational since the 1940’s ,employs almost 1200 people in two shifts. The new solar array will provide 15% of the facility’s electricity and is part of the company’s commitment to reduce their global greenhouse gas emissions by 35% by 2020.

Josh Welle, the Democrat running against Congressman Chris Smith in the 4th congressional district, held a campaign event, dubbed a town hall meeting, in Jackson on Thursday night that appeared to be designed to capture footage for television commercials, rather than to hear from the people of Jackson, as advertised.
Rather than the free wheeling give and take of town hall meetings New Jersey residents are accustomed to, like those of former Governor Chris Christie, and the ObamaCare town halls held by Congressman Frank Pallone and Rush Holt in 2010, Welle’s event featured pre-screened questions read by a moderator. The person who submitted the question was instructed to stand (for the video cameras) while Welle delivered prepared answers.
