Asbury Park Mayor John Moor and his daughter Christa
Asbury Park Mayor John Moor is not a tuxedo guy. He didn’t even wear one to his daughter’s wedding. Since taking office, many have suggested that Moor host a Mayor’s Ball to raise money for a worthy city cause. Rather than risk Dan Jacobson writing “Mayor Moor Has No Balls,” he’s having a rodeo to raise money for the city’s summer recreation program.
Moor told MoreMonmouthMusings that last summer 50 city children were turned away from the summer recreation program due to lack of funding. Moor found out about that too late to do something last year and vowed to do what ever it takes, except wearing a tuxedo, to make sure every Asbury Park child who wants to attend the summer recreation program can attend the summer recreation program.

During a lengthy press conference wherein he answered all of the questions of reporters present, Governor Chris Christie said that he will serve the remainder of his term as governor and enter the private sector. “There is nothing that can change that,” Christie said, ruling out a position in the next presidential administration.
“In between now and then, I will be working as hard as I can doing things right for the people of the State, the same way I have for the last six years,” said the governor.
Christie said that he is not a full time participant in the Trump for President campaign and that his travel out of state for Trump will be occasional.
The Governor’s statements satisfied Senator Jennifer Beck (R-Monmouth) who yesterday called for Christie to recommit to his job or to resign.

The IRS announced last week that more taxpayers than initially thought may be the victims of transcript fraud. It basically happened because the IRS website security system was too easy to crack. TRENTON — Donald Trump is probably the main reason Gov. Chris Christie didn’t win the Republican nomination for president, his campaign manager told NJ Advance Media. This morning (March 2nd 2016) people in the shore area in the central part of New Jersey woke up to an editorial in the Asbury Park Press, the only daily newspaper that serves two large counties, viciously attacking Governor Christie and demanding his resignation.
“Wow” the people of Monmouth and Ocean counties must have thought. “This editorial staff must have really put a great deal of independent thought into this, to be this hard on the Governor,” they must have thought.
