Senator Declan O’Scanlon today called upon Governor Phil Murphy to raise the limit at which New Jersey restaurants can operate indoors from 25% of their capacity to 66%.
The Monmouth County Republican noted that we’re approaching the first colder weather weekend of the season and that there has been no spike in COVID-19 cases or Rt since the Governor allowed indoor dining at 25% over the Labor Day weekend.
The City of Newark and the Essex County Board of Elections are planning a Super Polling Site at the Prudential Center where voters can cast their ballot “the regular way” on November 3. On September 22, the City and the Board of Elections will hold a voter registration drive at the PruCenter “where voters can pick up mail-in ballots if they have not received theirs in the mail,” according to a report at TapIntoNewark.

Almost 100 area patriots gathered in Robbinsville on September 11 in remembrance of those lost in the 2001 terrorist attack on our nation and to replace the American Flag that the NJ Turnpike Authority had recently removed from an overpass in the Township. Governor Phil Murphy signed legislation yesterday that allows the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission to use drivers license photos for twelve years, extended from the previous eight year limit, and limits certain appointment times at MVC locations to senior citizens and persons with certain medical conditions. The Governor also signed a bill which temporarily extends deadlines to register vehicles and obtain driver’s licenses for new State residents during the COVID-19 public health emergency.
