Justin Flancbaum
Justin Flancbaum, the Executive Director of the Lakewood Municipal Utility Authority and a candidate to replace Dave Rible as a LD 30 State Assemblyman at the GOP County Committee on Monday, August 14, took issue with former Wall Township Mayor Bob McKenna questioning his credentials in a public forum and provided MMM with answers to the questions that McKenna raised in his column published earlier today.
“I would never say anything about someone’s credentials without knowing the person or talking to them,” Flancbaum said in a phone interview with MMM. “I don’t know Mr. McKenna, it’s unfair to pass judgment.”

Bob McKenna
So there it is, finally out in the open. In his comments to MMM regarding his endorsement of Mr. Flancbaum for the LD 30 Assembly position, Senator Singer is quoted as saying, “ I had to defend my county “ ( Ocean ). I’m confused, I thought this Assembly seat, as well Senator Singer’s position, was about the representation at the state level of the residents, businesses and taxpayers of the 14 municipalities comprising LD 30, 12 of which are in Monmouth County.

Senator Robert Singer and Justin Flancbaum
Senator Robert Singer answered Assemblyman Sean Kean’s endorsement of former Wall Township Mayor Ned Thomson to replace Dave Rible in the State Assembly and on the ballot in November with an endorsement of Justin Flancbaum, the Executive Director of the Lakewood Municipal Utility Authority.
Singer told MMM that his endorsement of Flancbaum was prompted by Kean’s nod to Thomson. “I intended to stay out of the race,” Singer said in a phone interview, “but when Sean jumped in, I had to defend my county.”
Singer is a former mayor of Lakewood.

“College Achieve” charter school is trying to open in Asbury Park. It’s operated by Mike Piscal, who is known in the education field for making charter schools in California go broke, for having lax policy on sexual harassment and choosing spokespeople the likes of Bill Cosby. After California he spent two years in Las Vegas, then recently had a failed attempt to open a charter school in Brooklyn.
Having come back home to New Jersey, he incorporated “College Achieve” charter school with no assets other than the $75.00 filing fee, with an address at his father’s house in Toms River.
