MOUNT LAUREL — In dueling speeches at a Chamber of Commerce event Wednesday, New Jersey’s top gubernatorial hopefuls pitched their plans to boost the state’s economy to the business community. TOMS RIVER — Republican gubernatorial nominee Kim Guadagno’s Democratic rival in this year’s race to succeed Gov. Chris Christie was the primary target of a Monday night speech in GOP-rich Ocean County as she rallied her troops. But the close second in her attacks was against New Jersey’s news media. Democrat Phil Murphy wants to “pickpocket”… Read the rest of this entry »

Kim Guadagno meets with busnesses owners at Bum Rogers Tavern, which is at the entrance to Island Beach State Park
Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, the GOP nominee to be the next summer tenant at Island Beach State Park, met with business owners impacted by the New Jersey government shutdown today blasting Governor Chris Christie, Senate President Steve Sweeney and Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto.
“If I were governor, I sure wouldn’t be sitting on the beach if taxpayers didn’t have access to state beaches. It’s beyond words,” Guadagno said on facebook and twitter.
Trenton, NJ – Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno today applauded the Air Force’s decision to begin basing new KC-46A Pegasus air-refueling tankers at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in the 2021 fiscal year. This decision will accelerate an infusion of military construction at the Joint Base and prioritizes Joint Base receipt of the aircraft at a time when the Administration is requesting a new base closure round in 2021.
“The Air Force decision is good news for the State of New Jersey and for our national security,” said Lt. Governor Guadagno. “It is a tribute to the outstanding Air Force and Air National Guard airmen and the important missions they perform.”
I’m voting for Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno in the Republican Primary tomorrow because I’m convinced she’s the only candidate in the field who can defeat former Goldman Sachs banker Phil Murphy, the likely Democrat nominee, in November and prevent the return of unbridled government spending and taxation that will occur if Democrats regain control of the State Executive branch.
Guadagno’s primary campaign has been brilliant in its simplicity. She has deftly managed to put distance between herself and Governor Chris Christie while keeping her eye on the prize….winning the gubernatorial nomination. Kim has demonstrated that she knows that she is out to win an election, not to sell investors on a business plan. She’s presented herself as likeable, relatable and wanting to make New Jersey “Better.” Her appeal is emotional, not cerebral.

Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno’s mother, Mary Patricia (Pat) Blevens McFadden, died in Virginia Beach this morning. Guadagno has cancelled her official and campaign schedule and joined her family in Virginia, according to an announcement from the Department of State.
“Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno, has joined her family in Virginia Beach, due to the passing this morning of her mother Mary Patricia (Pat) Blevens McFadden. Please include them in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time,” said Suzanne Schwab, spokesperson for the New Jersey Department of State.
Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli’s recent attack on Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno appears to be backfiring. The oversized glossy postcard comparing Guadagno to Hillary Clinton is drawing angry comments on social media and pledges to work for Kim’s nomination on June 6.
Childhood friends of the Assemblyman are turning their backs on his candidacy and Republican women are particularly offended:
Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno has expanded her lead in the New Jersey GOP gubernatorial primary, according to independent poll by Stockton University released today.
Guadagno is the favorite of 37% of likely Republican primary voters surveyed between May 16 and 23, up from 29% in a Stockton poll taken April 26 though May 1. Guadagno’s surge coincides with her ads running on MMM. Just sayin’.
Assemblyman Jack Ciattarell’s support slipped 1% from 19% t0 18% between the two polls. Undecided voters declined from 41% to 31%.
