Anna Little Is “On The Radar”

NRCC Announces New ‘On the Radar’ and ‘Contender’ Candidates
23 Republican Candidates Take Steps Toward ‘Young Gun’ Status
Washington- The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) today announced its newest round of ‘On the Radar’ and ‘Contender’ candidates. By reaching the first and second step of the three-step ‘Young Guns’ program, these Republican candidates have reached the fundamental benchmarks to place them on the road to victory. Now, these 23 candidates are ready to take on the Democrat establishment and return fiscal sanity to Washington.

“These candidates have worked hard to meet the benchmarks that have been laid out before them and are determined to hold Washington Democrats accountable this November,” said NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX). “Middle-class families are tired of watching the Democrat majority spend this country deeper into recession while they have been forced to tighten their belts. With Americans desperate for change, these 23 candidates are determined to reign in reckless spending, cut taxes and return the economy back to a state of vitality.”

Originally founded in the 2007-2008 election cycle by Reps. Eric Cantor (R-VA), Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Paul Ryan (R-WI) as a member-driven organization, the Young Guns program has become an official NRCC effort dedicated to electing open-seat and challenger candidates nationwide. Reps. Cantor, McCarthy and Ryan remain actively involved in the Young Guns program, working together to recruit and prime conservative leaders for victory.

After reaching the first and second step of the three-step program, these ‘On the Radar’ and ‘Contender’ candidates now face a new set of rigorous benchmarks that will continue to help them build competitive, effective and winning campaigns.

The NRCC’s ‘On The Radar’ and ‘Contender’ Candidates Are:

Treaspass? Eminent Domain? Why Are They Ending Road Work Anyway?

Unauthorized "End Road Work" sign on MY PROPERTY!
Unauthorized “End Road Work” sign on MY PROPERTY!

By Art Gallagher

Imagine my surprise this morning as I’m returning home from my Sunday drive into downtown Highlands for breakfast and the newspapers when I notice the sign pictured on the left posted on MY PROPERTY!

Who’s ending road work?  I thought that was how Obama, Pelosi and Reid were going to save the economy?!

How long has that sign been on my property?  I’ve been keeping odd hours lately, but how did I miss it?  Surely government workers were working overtime on Saturday to post that sign on MY PROPERTY.

Who do I call?  Mayor Little?  Hmmm, I live on a county road, is it too early to call Director Burry?

How much rent should I charge?  I think I’ll charge $15,000.  That would cover the property taxes I pay in Highlands for a year.  But this is a county road, prime real estate.  Thousands of commuters, including Oceanport Council President Joe Irace drive past my house everyday on their way to the SeaStreak ferry to NY.   We’re coming into the prime sign season as politicians are usually very nice to me around now so that I’ll let them put their signs on MY PROPERTY.

I’ll have to think this through and consult an attorney.  How long will the road work be going on?  Maybe I can charge enough rent to cover property taxes for two years!   Maybe I can get the 5 acre requirement for farm designation waived so that my property can be declared a fish farm and I’ll get a property tax break forever!

Here’s what I’ll do.  I won’t file trespassing charges and I won’t charge rent. Why would I want to gouge my neighbors and friends anyway?  I’ll let the sign stay there for free so long as the union workers who do the road work earn market rate wages instead of “prevailing wage.”  If I’m not going to gouge my neighbors, why should they?

That sounds like a fair deal to me.  Draw up the papers Lillian, I’ll be calling.

Who Is the Tea Party, Part 3

In this final installment of my interview with Barbara Gonzales, the founder of the Bayshore Tea Party, we discuss the motivations of the groups members and leadership, the diversity of the members and the truth about who the Tea Party is vs the perception the media is attempting to create about them.

Who Is The Tea Party?

There is now no question that the “Tea Party” is making an impact throughout the nation as they have already here in New Jersey, particularly in the 6th Congressional District.

Who are these people?  The mainstream media and the NAACP would have you think that they are crazy radical racists.  They are not.

There are those in both the Republican Party and in Tea Party groups that say the Tea Party is pursuing a hostile take over of the GOP.  I don’t believe that to be the case either.

I can’t opine on Tea Party groups in NY, NH, Alaska, Utah, Delaware or other places where they have toppled the GOP establishment in primaries.  Here in Monmouth County NJ, the Tea Party is comprised of ordinary patriotic citizens who, many after years of complacency, have woken up and are making a difference.  Most are political neophytes.  They are changing the system as they learn it.

Last month Barbara Sagarese Gonzalez, the founder of the Bayshore Tea Party came to visit MMM.  In this first installment of our conversation, Barbara tells us or how and why she started the group and discusses the accomplishments and challenges she and her friends have experienced so far in their quest to elect candidates to say they are for smaller government and mean it.

Little/Angle ally to defeat the Pallone/Reid axis

Senate Candidate Sharron Angle to campaign and fundraise with Anna Little

Highlands, NJ – 9/14/10 – Mutually reinforcing their respective campaigns against two of the most liberal progressives in Congress assembled, Senate Candidate in Nevada, Sharron Angle, will join House Candidate Anna Little for a morning tea and afternoon lunch on Wednesday, September 15th in Red Bank and Atlantic Highlands, NJ, respectively.

Angle, locked in a dead heat with Harry Reid at 48% according to the most recent Rasmussen poll, won the Republican nomination for Senate in a three-way race on June 8th against opponents who had both greater name recognition and more money. Similarly, Little won the 6th District Republican nomination against an opponent with the party backing in all four 6th District counties and with a significant funding advantage. Both Angle and Little pulled off their upsets in large part because of tea party support.

Like Angle, Anna Little recognizes that the tax-and-spend-and-spend-and-tax philosophy of Harry Reid and Frank Pallone is almost solely responsible for our stagnant, high unemployment and exploding national debt. Both women are committed to restoring necessary fiscal sanity to Washington through lower taxes, less spending and smaller Government.

Message Testing and Push Polls

More Proof that Pallone and Holt Are Worried

By Art Gallagher

MMM has received reports from readers in both CD-6 and CD-12 that they were polled by the Pallone and Holt campaigns this weekend.

Not surprisingly, Pallone plans to divert voters attention away from the economy and the health care bill that he was so proud of just a year ago.

Pallone is preparing negative ads depicting Anna Little as a career politician and right wing extremists.  He will attempt to make the election campaign about guns, including bullet proof vest piercing armour, stem cell research, abortion, and oil drilling.  He will depict Little as a tax raising mayor who would raise taxes on the middle class.

Holt is planning to stick with the economy, which he will blame entirely on Scott Sipprelle.   At least they’re not blaming Bush any longer.

Congressman Frank Pallone’s Tyranny

By Ernesto Cullari
Published in the TriCity News September 9th 2010

I want you to take every word on this page very personally and very seriously; because what I am about to report to you, if left unaddressed, will leave a lasting scar on your legacy that will take you, your family and our Republic years and perhaps a generation to recover from.
Fair elections are the backbone of a representative democracy. We have fought wars to ensure them. So what exactly do you call a politician that rigs the rules of an election, a sacred process that is supposed to be fair, honest and open, so that just by writing a new law, a law free of a timely judicial review, he greatly increases his party’s chances of victory? You would call that person an unscrupulous cheater and a scoundrel and that is exactly what Democrat Congressman Frank Pallone and his cohorts in Congress are.
In fact, he is so replete with deceptive convolution that I’m not sure Frank Pallone knows what is truthful and just anymore. He is so thoroughly corrupted by the temptations of the backroom dealings of Washington DC that I doubt that Mr. Pallone would recognize the truth or the honorable thing to do if the truthful answers to the simplest questionnaire we’re force-fed to him during a polygraph test.
Democrat Congressman Frank Pallone Jr. is cosponsor of H.R. 5175, the “Democracy is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections Act” (aka DISCLOSE). The law is a full frontal assault on free political speech. DISCLOSE has a benevolent sounding name that would seemingly shed light on who or what entity is sponsoring a given political ad. Its supporters say that it prohibits foreign influence in elections; however, what this corruptive law actually does is limit the free political speech of the majority of the American electorate, by deciding along political and ideological lines who does and who does not get to participate in the electoral process. It is just one of many steps that Democrats have taken to further segregate voters, thereby creating an imbalance of liberty and power.
In January 2010 the US Supreme Court in Citizen’s United v. FEC overturned the prohibition on campaign spending by corporations and unions that had been imposed under McCain-Feingold. DISCLOSE seeks to reimpose the restrictions on corporations only, while rewarding unions with an explicit exemption. Unions and their members would have free political speech, while privately held corporations and their shareholders would not.
On June 24th 2010 DISCLOSURE passed the Democrat controlled Congress. The Senate is due to vote on DISCLOSURE after September 13th. If it passes the Senate and is then signed by Obama, unions and their affiliates will be able to support political candidates on the airwaves and in print media without any counterbalance or opposing viewpoints. As a result, unions like the SEIU and the AFL-CIO are preparing their offensive on behalf of Democrat candidates that have supported their high-priced agenda, which is government-managed health care and a government bailout of union pensions.

The language in DISCLOSE, which Pallone endorses, prohibits any corporation doing over $10 million in business with the federal government from political spending and communication.  So while all-American corporations like Pepsi would be prohibited from funding political ads, public employee unions, government grants recipients and foreign influenced labor unions, with similar ties to the government, would be able to spend freely on political speech and political advertisements.

If Frank Pallone, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama win their battle against free speech through DISCLOSURE, it will remain the law of the land until after the presidential elections in 2012, because of the way the law is drafted. Forced jurisdictional requirements and the deliberate absence of a timely judicial review process demonstrates that Democrats have one thing in mind, and that is to disenfranchise voters, to rig elections and to limit free speech so that they might hold onto the power that the American electorate is all too eager to deprive them of having.
Frank Pallone has proven that he is willing to trash the Constitution and manipulate the law to guarantee that his Democrat party wins the next two elections. The repercussions of his tyranny will last for many years to come and he must be confronted. Call your Senator today and tell them not to vote on DISCLOSURE and then support Anna Little for Congress.

Frank Pallone on Tax Reform, a NO brainer!

By Susan Christopher

After seriously reviewing Frank Pallone’s voting record on important issues, it is alarming to me as it should be to all the voters in Congressional District 6 just how out of control Pallone is when it comes to tax reform! He has consistently voted “NO” on tax issues that would help create prosperity for Americans. Let me provide several examples. In December of 2005, Pallone voted NO to retain reduced taxes on capital gains and dividends, in May of 2004, he voted NO on making permanent an increase in the child tax credit, in April, 2004, he voted NO on permanently eliminating the marriage penalty, April, 2002, he voted NO on making the Bush tax cuts permanent, April, 2001, he voted NO on eliminating the Estate Tax (death tax), and the list goes on!

Frank’s voting record indicates that he is a “Big Spender” on tax votes!

The voters of CD6 must put an end to Pallone’s out of control spending!

Come November we must show Frank we are fed up with this robbery! We want the candidate who promises to reduce taxes, her name is Anna Little. Anna promotes an immediate reduction in all taxes. She believes income taxes punish success and discourages investment.

On November 2nd, we can make our voices heard and show Pallone that we vote NO to everything he stands for by electing Anna Little for Congress!
