Monmouth Univeristy Poll: Pallone Leads Little 53%-41%

A Monmouth University Poll released today gives Congressman Frank Pallone a 53%-41% lead over Highlands Mayor Anna Little in the race for the NJ-6 congressional seat.  6% of likely voters are undecided according to the poll.

“A 12 point lead may look comfortable, but not when you consider the fact that Pallone regularly wins reelection by more than 30 points,” said Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute. “District demographics are the key to this race. Little does well in independent-minded parts of the district. The question is whether it will be enough to overcome the built-in Democratic advantage here.”

Pallone and Little are basically tied 49% to 47% in the Monmouth County half of the district, but Pallone has a sizable 58% to 33% lead in the other half, which includes urban strongholds in Middlesex and Union counties.

Little actually leads by 51% to 38% among self-identified independent voters in this district, but, so far, it is not enough to overcome the Democrats more than 2-to-1 registration edge over Republicans in New Jersey’s 6th.

Congressman Frank Pallone’s job performance rating among likely voters in his district stands at 46% approve to 36% disapprove. He also garners personal ratings of 48% favorable to 32% unfavorable.

By comparison, 33% of voters give Little a favorable rating and 22% are unfavorable, with nearly half

(45%) offering no opinion on the Highlands Borough Mayor.

Anna Little receives, “Honorary Guardian of Seniors Rights” from 60 Plus Association

(HIGHLANDS, October 5. 2010) – Republican congressional challenger Anna Little yesterday afternoon received the, “Honorary Guardian of Seniors’ Rights” from James L. Martin, Chairman of the 60 Plus Association.

“Anna Little is going to Washington to fight for America’s seniors”, said Martin, Chairman of the 5.5 million strong seniors organization that many refer to as “the conservative alternative to the AARP.” “Anna knows that cutting 500 billion dollars from Medicare – – – as Obama care intends to do-is wrong. She knows as well that piling of trillions and trillions of debt on our children and grandchildren is not something seniors want to do. We at the 60 Plus Association are pleased and privileged to give Anna Little our Guardian of Senior Rights Award and we look forward to working with her in the next Congress to enact a truly, Seniors’ friendly legislative agenda.”

“I am honored to receive this award,” said Little. For almost two decades now, 60 plus has been fighting the good fight in Washington on behalf of America’s seniors. Whether it was fighting for lower taxes, or fighting to stop the debt, or fighting to prevent a government takeover of healthcare, sixty plus has been leading the charge.

“I look forward to working with Jim Martin and 60 plus when I get to Congress,” said Little.
Martin presented the award this afternoon at an event at the Bayshore Senior Center. In attendance, were more than 100 local seniors who had come out see the presentation and voice their support for Anna Little for Congress.

“It’s always wonderful to have a chance to spend time with NJ’s seniors,” said Little. “They have seen so much, and they are always happy to share the wisdom gained through life’s experience. All over the district, seniors are terrified that their children and grandchildren are going to be burdened with tens of trillions of dollars of debt – that will take generations to pay off. That’s why seniors are some of our campaign supporters and most dedicated volunteers.”

“Anna’s right,” said Martin. “But, it is not just here in NJ. It is all over America – Seniors are rejecting Nancy Pelosi’s agenda.”

Enough is Enough

By Bill Thorne, Ocean Township

Have we had enough yet or are we gluttons for punishment?  Isn’t it time to put an end to the Democratic controlled Congress approach to fixing the economy, increasing spending, increasing debt, increasing taxes, high unemployment rate with no job growth in sight, and a new healthcare plan which most people did not want?

One of the route causes of the above problem issues is our current District 6 Congressman, Frank Pallone.  In fact, he even views them as feathers in his hat for a job well done.  The people of District 6 as well as the rest of the country have reached the point to now say, “Enough is Enough.”  It is time for a significant change in the way that our 6th District, our state, and our country is being run by putting new people in those jobs who are ready, willing and able to listen to the people and what they want, rather than the other way around.  That time is almost at hand and we have just such a person in Anna Little who is running against Pallone for our District 6 Congressional seat on November 2nd.  She knows of the problems facing our state and our country and she knows the importance of listening to the people and doing what the people want.

Let’s all jump on the Little Train and vote for Anna Little for Congress on Nov. 2nd to help bring our economy and our country back.

LITTLE: PALLONE SEEMS TO THINK YOU CAN AFFORD A $1,862/YEAR TAX HIKE. REALLY.

(HIGHLANDS, October 1) – Republican congressional challenger Anna Little – continuing to highlight the vote by her opponent, 22-year incumbent Washington fixture Frank Pallone, to adjourn Congress and return home to campaign without first holding a vote to extend the current tax rates – today pointed out that for the average family in the 6th Congressional District, that translates to a $1,862 per year tax hike.

“Frank Pallone seems to think the average family in our congressional district can afford a $1,862 per year tax hike,” said Little. “Maybe that’s what he gets for staying in Washington so long. After 22 years living the high life with the lobbyists, it’s clear he’s forgotten his roots.

“These aren’t numbers someone is making up out of thin air. According to the Tax Foundation, failure to extend the current tax rates would mean the average family in New Jersey’s 6th Congressional District would see its federal tax liability rise from $6,768 per year to $8,630 per year – that’s a hike of $1,862 per year, and represents a 27.5 percent increase,” continued Little.

“Two days ago, Nancy Pelosi and her liberal allies like Frank Pallone decided they’d be better off campaigning without first taking a vote to increase taxes on America’s job creators,” continued Little. “So they just decided to leave town without doing their jobs. In doing so, they effectively chose to vote for a tax increase – because everyone knows they’re far less likely to feel constrained after the election, in a lame duck session, than they would have BEFORE the election, when voters could have punished them for voting for a tax increase.

“In other words, getting out of town now translates to higher taxes later.

“But there’s a way to stop it – and that’s for the American electorate to rise up and say, ‘Enough!'”

“When I get to Congress, I’m determined to fight with everything in my power to see to it that NO American taxpayer faces a tax hike – and especially not when we’ve still got an economy teetering on the brink of a double-dip recession.

“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – you cannot change Washington without changing the PEOPLE in Washington.

“The good news is, there’s an election in 33 days!”

Pallone Turns His Back On America

By Susan Christopher, Asbury Park

Congress leaves Washington without voting to extend the Bush tax cuts. Who was responsible for casting the deciding vote, none other than Congressman of CD6, Frank Pallone, who by the way mimicked Nancy Pelosi’s vote once again!

With our economy being in the fragile state it’s in, this is the worst possible news for America. What this means for us is this, the two major tax-cutting bills, the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001, and the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003 will be phased out come December 31st.  According to Forbes Magazine, these two laws cut taxes across the board for earned income, long-term capital gains and dividends. The law also expands the child tax credit, eliminates the “marriage penalty” by giving couples filing jointly twice the deduction, and many taxpayers will lose as much as 80% of their itemized deductions depending on their income. Democrats like Frank Pallone would like us to believe that only the top two brackets will face higher taxes should the Bush cuts laps, but this couldn’t be further from the truth! The reality is,   rates will go up for everyone including the lower and middle class, bringing greater havoc to our economy.  This is Frank Pallone’s agenda and it proves he is dangerous for America.

In a September 30th article titled, Little: Pallone Cast Deciding Vote To Adjourn, Before Acting To Prevent Massive Tax Hike, Republican Congressional challenger Anna Little, sharply criticized her opponent, Frank Pallone. She states, “Today Frank Pallone showed why it’s time for him to leave Congress. With an economy in the ruts, his deciding vote will lead to continued uncertainty about the nation’s job creators, and will make job creation that much more difficult in the weeks and months to come.”

It is time for Americans to take a stand!  The voters of Congressional District 6 should ask themselves; do we want more of Frank Pallone’s economic progressive agenda or do we want a candidate who knows fiscal responsibility and truly cares about Americans? On November 2nd we must get out the vote for Anna Little. The only way to rid ourselves of the existing scourge is to vote them out of office!  This is the power granted all Americans by the Constitution. Unlike the Healthcare Bill, it is a relatively short document but it speaks volumes. This is the wonderful, democratic process we live by, WE THE PEOPLE…

God Bless America!
