Yeh, that will REALLY prove who is the better governor/leader/problem-solver…
In the meantime, which state is on the road to recovery——-and which is about to slide into the ocean–??
Classic Lib/Dem thinking, sputtering, posturing and spouting off. i can’t wait for the Democrat’s Convention and the great ideas they will bring forth to address and solve our country’s problems.
Or, will we be treated to more of this brilliant thinking?

Gov. Airhead should shut his mouth and start worrying about how to keep the rest of the towns in California from going bankrupt. The state is a joke and is a prime example of what happens when the unions rule the roost. Give Christie a Republican legislature and NJ turns around in two years.
Bob English said at 10:23 am on September 1st, 2012:
The enitre thing is silly but Gov. Christie started this when he personally attacked Brown when he said:
“California made a bad choice by going with an old retread, who — let me tell you this — I cannot believe you people elected Jerry Brown over Meg Whitman”
So you can’t start crying when Christie is on the receiving end once in awhile when the person he personally attacked pushes back. If someone is good at dishing it out, they better be good on taking it also.
FYI, One of the key moments in the Brown/Whitman race was when Whitman ran a commercial about how great Califormia used to be….which coincided with the time when Brown had previously served two terms as Governor.
As for pension reform, the California State Legislature passed major pension reform yesterday.
I can’t believe there are some here, who are now defending the economic mess that is California. Oh Lordy, is that rich! Yes, California surely represents the kind of thinking that will dig our country out of the deepest, darkest fiscal/job crisis in modern history. Are you kidding? Are you for real? This country of ours, deserves better than that.
Four years of abject suffering is long enough. Obama STILL can’t even provide a light at the end of the tunnel, for god’s sake! It’s time to take a good hard look at all those suffering across our nation. It’s time to take a good hard look at Obama’s failed leadership, and it’s results. Look in your neighbor’s eyes and see the results of Obama’s last four years in office. Look at where we are, as a people! Enough is enough.
We, the people, are the President’s employer, and it’s time for us to resoundingly say, NEXT!
Bob English said at 3:48 pm on September 1st, 2012:
Enough…nobody is defending California just noting that for once someone (Governor Brown) gave Governor Christie a little taste of his own medicine after Christie chose to attack Brown….You can be certain that Christie would do the same thing if he were they one being attacked.
Again Jerry who?.. The pot smoking- tax spending -liberal -pot smoking -wannabe? That Jerry Brown?
So he can run 3 miles-do a couple of push ups and add a chin up or 2 -How’s that working for ya California? Enough said.
Christie knocks him out in the Governor accomplishment arena running circles around him.

What recovery? 9.8% unemployment? highest property taxes in the nation, increased every year Christie has been in office? highesy unemployment in the northeast?
Please tell us about this magical road to recovery
And while we’re all arguing here about who, Brown or Christie, could wield the best punch, Monica Crowley today dealt a knock-out blow with her insightful remarks about the true effect of this year’s GOP Convention:
In 2008, Barack Obama and his team crafted three clever revolutions that set the stage for his victory…and for the “fundamental transformation” of the nation of which he often spoke.
The first revolution was built on the cult of his personality. The second revolution was built on his relative youth and the generational change he represented. The third revolution was built on the broader but deliberately ambiguous concepts of “hope and change.”
Last night—and throughout the week at the Republican National Convention—Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and the major GOP speakers destroyed each one of those Obama revolutions…and replaced them with new revolutions that are, in many ways, even more powerful than the ones Obama originally set in motion four years ago.”
More in the rest of the article—how each “Revolution” was dismantled…..
YAYYYY Us!! The people with the good ideas, AND the ability to express them clearly, are taking over.

Brown was elected in California:
Secretary of State 1971-1975
Governor (2 terms) 1975-1983 (succeeded Ronald Reagan)
Mayor of Oakland (2 terms) 1999-2007
Attorney General of California (2007–2011)
Governor 2011-present
So its fair to say the people of the state think very highly of him.
In the 1992 presidnetial primaries he won seven of them and had the 2nd most delegates to the nomine (Bill Clinton)

He just doesn’t get it. Who’s NOT telling the American Public the truth? That would be Obummer. And with numbers like these, The Dear Leader is cooked.

Glad to see you have flip flopped and are now embracing polls all of a sudden. I will stick to what I have been saying for weeks which is that I believe the election will be very close. Its probably dead even today with a little advantage to Romney on the popular vote and a little advatage to Obama on the electorial vote.
Since Romeny just got a little bump after the R convention (nothing like what McCain got in 2008) lets wait until after the D convention and see what the polls say before you start popping the cork.
Is that Frank Luntz did several focus groups during the Republican Convention where the Democrats in the focus group responded to Romney & Ryan at levels almost as high as Republican participants.
What this means is that the Democrats like what they are hearing from the Republican Ticket and from that I assume that there are TONS of Democrats ready to peel off and away from The Dear Leader especially in those swing states.
The people are tired of his lies, his lack of transparency,
And Little Bobbie, I never said I don’t look at polls. It’s WHICH polls I embrace that is the point. Media based polls which skew participants HEAVILY to the Democrat side with 9% more Democrats? ROFLAO
Rassmussen, Gallup & the Carville’s especially? I tend to BELIEVE. As I said, I think it is writing on the wall. Not a done deal yet, but Obummer is starting to get REALLY nervous, hence watch for hateful attacks during the “I Love Obama Show” this week.

I am not going to blame every crazy statement a Dem makes on Obama any more than I am going to blame some of the insane things that R legislatures believe and say on Romney. For instance McCain sounds as if he would be in favor of getting the US involved in at least 5 more wars and than he said that Romeny agrees with him. For now I will give Romeny the benefit of the doubt that he does not agree with McCain.
The fact of the matter is though that Ryan himself flat out lied numerous times in his acceptance speech to the point that many people believe his credibility is shot.
Romney had a couple obvious lies also such as saying that taxes where higher under Obama (they are not). The lie of the convention was Romeny saying that the R’s wanted Obama to be successful. We now know that is not true after learning of the meeting held by high ranking Repulcians (inlcuding Paul Ryan) on the night Obama was inaugurated where they agreeded to block anything and everything that Obama proposed even if the R’s had previosuly been in favor of it. Romeny would be better off not saying anything more on the subject.
2nd biggest lie of the R conveniton was taking the “you did not build that” out of the context that the President said it and actually wasting a full day of their convention on it. That would be like the D’s just repeating the line “I like being able to fire people” and not including the full context of how Romeny said it.
Both Romney and Ryan would have a much better chance of winning if they just stuck to the truth and kept the crazies away for their campaign. People that might be open to voting for them are going to stick with Obama if they keep hearing Romeny/Ryan repeating things that are not true.
Good for Governor Brown for point out Christie’s lack of character in way that is amusing.
