Kyrillos rooting for Christie to be Veep choice

State Senator Joe Kyrillos, the NJ GOP nominee for U.S. Senate and Mitt Romney’s 2008 NJ presidential campaign chairman wants Governor Christie to be Romney’s 2012 runningn mate.

Kyrillos told the Daily Caller:

“Obviously, I would love for Christie to be the nominee.”

“One, because I think he’d be very good at it for, you know, a lot of  different reasons. But also because nothing would be better for my candidacy than to have Chris on the ticket this November. You know, I’ll look like the  smartest guy in North America in September for being running for the U.S. Senate if Chris should be the vice presidential nominee.”

I like that, “You know, I’ll look like the smartest guy in North America………” ending quote.
Speaking of smart, in the interest of fair play and full disclosure, I need to ask,” Has anyone seen, heard or smelled anything that seems like activity, work, thoughts, ideas or a close approximation of same in the Garden State lately?
I know it’s lets all be european’s month in the halls of government but I was hoping there would somehow be the glowing embers or residual smell of action in the mornings wafting through our local land.
I guess we have to wait till September when it will be obvious to all whose the smartest in the land.
    Us or the traffic cameras?

To me, this sounds like Joe trying to throw a Hail Mary pass hoping to get Christie on the ticket so that he can try and hang on to the coat tails.

This is not going to close an 11 point gap IMHO

Kyrillos could also look like the dumbest guy in the land. If Christie were to make the national ticket, then everything he promised and didn’t deliver on, which is a lot, will be analyzed and aired. The NYT and the APP are already all over him. Bottom line is that it is now very apparent that Christie is a fast talking salesman with a law degree and lobbyist by training and trade. And, Kyrillos thinks that this kind of linkage will help him?

The press will dig deeply into Kyrillos’s past and what he has and hasn’t contributed to the collective well being of NJ residents. The has not list will be longer.

Mitt—we need you to end the Milhous Regime—please don’t destroy your chances by sidling up to the liberal Buffoon aka Gov. You-tube,

  5. Joe Killeen said at 1:20 pm on August 6th, 2012:

The pot thickens maybe room for Christie after all on national ticket.
It looks like Florida’s Senator Mark Rubio may have leaped before he looked with his announcement he was introducing a bill that would make the price of the Olympic Gold Medals won by American’s non taxable.
Good thought, basic and practical business oriented thinking, exemption not stimulus, keep it not take it thinking.
Only problem, I know this is nitpicking on my part, but Olympic Gold Medals are not taxed already.
You could excuse Senator Rubio for his confusion it appears he must have read the latest and greatest blast from the mind of that great politcal thinker, Grover Norquist,
inspiration to all and one who has never met a Newt or an Adelstein he didn’t like.
Don’t dispare fans and non fans of the BMOC of New Jersey there maybe room yet for Chris on the bus.

Don’t worry about Brian. I asked him twice to have the guts to back up his big mouth and claim that I was flip-flopping on something and all he could come up with were a couple of incoherent rants that had nothing to do with the topic at hand. Since Brian is fixated on the topic of flip-flopping though, I will dedicate to him the following youtube video showing the King of All Flip-Floppers (Mitt Romney), flip-flopping on several issues.

  10. Joe Killeen said at 8:28 pm on August 6th, 2012:

The video doesn’t bring me any pleasure, Bob.
Laughs and absurdity have been too easy to come by even since Newt went to the Moon.
I have grown weary and afraid. Not for myself but my grandchildren. In addition to letting the morally and dyslexia impaired count the till for today and tomorrow, I have not seen or heard one of the current crop of professional politicians out and about who I could with a straight face and a clear conscience tell my grandchildren to get in line behind and pick up their gun.

While the roof falls in, the tent gets stolen right from over us, the rivers dry up and the corn goes to fodder, hundreds of millions, will probably exceed a billion, of dollars pour into the TV studios on each side of the aisle, we cut down our children’s future, count the poll results, disparage those who don’t echo our beliefs and refuse to demand that every one of the public servants currently having their personal eagle fly, every day, not just Friday’s get your butts over here. Hey you, and you, and you three over there, whose paying you? The taxpayers? Well then get back to your seat and get down to work. Time and place are wasting.

Arthur: you aren’t doing a very good job verifying who and what. If you’re gonna’ let them use my name, please make sure they know how to spell it.

  12. Joe Killeen said at 10:58 pm on August 6th, 2012:

My apologies Mz. Nowels. It should be second nature to fact check.

  13. Harold Kane said at 9:57 am on August 7th, 2012:

I was with the Governor last Tuesday. He said that he was not a candidate for VP. If you’re even slightly concerned about NJ you had better hope that he stays for a second term.
If he leaves for DC how would you like Corey Booker as Governor?

  14. Better yet, said at 4:11 pm on August 7th, 2012:

what happened to the Gov. being the keynote speaker at the convention??.. heard it was supposed to have been a big night for Jersey and a pass to him for not being v.p…who to believe, these days??.. as for Joe K., it’s wishful thinking, but be very glad Smith has 3/4 of Monmouth County right above you, now..just stay out there, and get more statewide name i.d. with tv and radio, Menendez can still be beaten, but it would be a blinkin’ miracle for Romney to take NJ, as evidenced by their total lack of cooperation with any lit, signs, stickers, etc.,for/in NJ, and the nearest Romney HQ being in Massachusetts..what does that tell ya?..

  15. To "Joe Killeen": said at 4:20 pm on August 7th, 2012:

what kind of “activity” are you interested in?.. you can certainly attend any of the various GOP events posted on two websites, there are many things going on.. you can volunteer to be the county grassroots Romney coordinator, you can call GOP HQ in Freehold, or Kyrillos HQ in Middletown, and take part in any county or Joe K. Super Saturdays, like the one they held last week, out of both Middletown and Freehold,and/or you can walk with/ for them/him, or phone away, to your heart’s content- thousands of calls are being made every week!.. if you don’t know how busy it actually is this summer, you really aren’t trying hard enough!

  16. joe killeen said at 4:31 pm on August 8th, 2012:

The business of elections, or campaigning is not most peoples business. The type of activity I can’t find on any horizon, right or left, is the action, discussion, and consensus building needed to govern. Not get elected or promote one set of likes dislikes, or personal philosophies over any other. We have become a government of campaigners at the expense of governing.
