Monmouth Dem Candidates Speak At Anti-Cop, Anti-Christian Hate Group Meeting
The Democrat candidate for Senate in LD 13, one of his Assembly running mates, the Monmouth Dem Freeholders candidates, and a Democrat candidate for Middletown Township Committee were the honored guests of a group that depicts police officers as nazis and Mother Theresa as a sadistic religious fanatic. The group, District 4 Coalition for Change, has also posted a nude photo of First Lady Melania Trump on its facebook page.
Sean Byrnes, the former Middletown Township Committeeman running for Senate in LD 13, Mariel DiDato, the 25 year old Hazlet resident running for Assembly in LD 13, Lake Como Mayor Brian Wilton and his freeholder running mate Dr. Margie Donlon, and Tricia Maguire, a candidate for Middletown Township Committee were all invited to speak at the event which was held at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Lincroft. The 80 people attending were asked to donate to the candidates’ campaigns.
Photos of Byrnes, Donlon and Wilton addressing the hate group were posted on facebook.
If Maguire and DiDato addressed the hate group, photos of them doing so were not posted. But they were they collecting donations.
District 4 Coalition for Change has been promoting these candidates and others, as well as their fundraisers, since the nominating process was complete with the Democrat primary in June. The candidates have appeared in numerous photos with the group’s leaders and members.
Additionally, the group routinely uses hateful rhetoric to describe Republican candidates and office holders. Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon is described as a misogynist. Senator Sam Thompson and Assemblymen Ron Dancer and Rob Clifton, Republicans from LD12, are depicted as “protectors of domestic abusers.”
The group depicts women who vote Republican as “stupid.”
MMM attempted to reach Byrnes and Wilton for comment, unsuccessfully.

I’m not sure why D4 is called either of those but what I do know is that neither the candidates nor the hosts are either Anti-Christian or anti-cop.
What they ARE is anti-Chris Smith. That I know and you know.
Both Jim Keady and Chris Smith are people . Both are capable and recognizing that both sides D and R have extremes that speak out of anger of frustration of rage.
I think fundamentally both have the rights to their beliefs.
No one denies people the right to practice their beliefs. However, when those beliefs run counter to those of your constituents, that needs to be addressed.
Sadly some people have gone above and beyond “addressing it” .
I’m all for debate / discussion.
I’m all for letting Chris Smith come to YOU for an interview.

I don’t agree with all his beliefs. I disagree with the law that allows him to live in VA and “reside” in NJ.

There is no reason to deny him a chance to speak and you to listen and vice versa. Even if he is antithetical to your base and to your core, he still has Reagan’s view on immigration and on small business. He is a dad a coach a teacher and a good person who happens to be a lifelong friend and advocate.
Even YOU begrudgingly would have to say he walks his walk that he talks about even if you disagree about child labor laws or refugees or anything else he has advocated for in the past 20 years.
He isn’t the radical painted by the media.
He is someone willing to meet to talk to listen. Chris Smith has not done so in over 24 years.
If true, then why is that “Universalist” church allowed to promote anti-Catholic and anti-police bigotry by hosting this hate group?

To be perfectly honest, I can’t believe that Sean Byrnes would associate himself with such a group. And I am no Sean Byrnes supporter by any means.
Now, would this “church” host an “alt-right” group spewing the same bigotry? I wonder.
Perhaps this article should be sent to all local mainstream churches so that anti police and anti Catholic bigotry can be addressed and condemned.

Where the hell are you coming from man. I’m Catholic and attended both public and Catholic schools. I attended the meeting last night and I didn’t see any of the people you described in your article. I admit I don’t know what you look like so if you were there I’m sure you the ONE HATEFILLED PERSON IN ATTENDANCE.

Hopefully, they can get their hatred of others out of their hearts as disagreements over public policy (ie taxpayers forced to pay for abortions) should not lead to such a level of vitriolic hatred.

Those who have their wits about them would not refer to Trump supporters as “Nazis”, “KKKers” or “White Supremacists”.
Unfortunately, what we see in the “news” media is too much of this obscene, repugnant and divisive rhetoric by those on the left. That is a clear, undisputed fact.
Are you willing to admit that there have been many dem politicians, news commentators, and the alt left mobs who have said exactly this? If not, then who is the liar? Look in the mirror.
As for the GOP leadership in Congress, they have shown a great ability to accomplish little; for seven years they screamed “repeal and replace” over Obamacare, yet they failed miserably to get it done. As many others have done, I must question whether or not they were honest in telling the people this while they had a President (Obama) who would veto any “repeal or replace”.
Now that they have a President who would sign a repeal or replace bill, they got cold feet. Interesting expose of the Washington DC Swamp. No wonder why Congress has a rating lower than the President.
Getting back to the article Art has posted, do you denounce the anti catholic bigotry as shown on this group’s Facebook page? Do you denounce the photo shopping of a picture of police officers putting Nazi Swastika armbands on them and Nazi flags behind them? Have you looked at their Facebook pages to see how many times they use the word “nazi”? Or do you believe this anti Catholic and anti police bigotry is fine?
There can be debate and dialogue on policy issues, honest criticism is always needed. But the atrocious and obscene methods and language that many on the left, whether news media, alt left groups or dems have used to denigrate their opponents is reminiscient of both communist, socialist and fascist regimes of the past.

Perhaps, since this article is about a group who seem to be anti Catholic over the issue of abortion, I should point out certain facts.
As a male, I understand that men are supposed to be the “stronger” of the human species.
Ladies, please do not get upset at this, but the female of the human species is NOT equal to the male. Please read on.
The myth of the male superiority is just that. A myth. The simple fact is that the female of the species is the stronger.
Statistical fact: the female lives longer than the male. That is why life insurance for the female is cheaper than for the male.
Scientific fact: the female brain is wired for multi tasking, the male brain is wired for single tasking. The female can cook a dinner, feed a baby and answer a phone call at the same time. If a man tried to do that, he would burn the dinner, drop the baby and hang up the phone.
Reality check: If the male was the one who had to carry the baby for nine months in his body, the world would probably have gone extinct after the first birth.
Bibilical fact: If you consider God as a Creator, a Builder, what does a builder do when he builds his first house? Does he not look at it and see where he can improve it on the next house? The Bible tells us the God first created Adam (a male). After that, He created Eve (a female).
I rest my case that the female is not equal, but rather, superior to the male. This is based upon statistical, scientific, reality and biblical facts.
To all women I say, do not lower yourself to the level of men. The family unit is the only building block that any society has.
We should celebrate families and we need in this country economic conditions that will allow all families to prosper and children to receive proper education which will allow them to become productive citizens of this country.
The abortion issue is over the life contained within the womb. A Fetus is neither a disease nor a germ; it is the very beginning of a new human life. The policy issue is over taxpayer funding for abortions. I oppose taxpayer funding for abortions as this goes against my religious and personal beliefs.
In a preliminary draft of the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson wrote, “We hold these truths to be sacred & undeniable; that all men are created equal & independent, that from that equal creation they derive rights inherent & inalienable, among which are the preservation of life, & liberty, & the pursuit of happiness”.
This language was revised to read as follows, ” We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”.
Nowhere in the Constitution is the right to kill the unborn mentioned.
Women, and their partners, who do not wish to have a child, should first understand that engaging in activities which might result in a pregnancy, should either be avoided or precautions taken to avoid pregnancy. But the costs of that, whether a condom or a contraceptive pill, should be paid for by them, not the taxpayers.
Pre natal care is important during pregnancy and that is more than appropriate to be covered by medical insurance.
Why, as a man, am I so concerned about this? This is rather personal, but perhaps it is best if I explain. I was born two and one half months premature and weighed less than 4 pounds. My mother was suffering from toxemia at the time and had suffered two prior miscariages. The nurse at the hospital, who was also a Catholic Nun, gave me an emergency baptism as they thought I would not survive.
My mother gave me life, and I am forever grateful not only to her, but to my Creator, for His allowing me to live.
Let me also point out that adoption is a much better option than abortion. There are couples who are unable to have children and would be thrilled to have a child to adopt.
Dialogue and debate should be done in a civil manner; but when terms like “racist” or “nazi” are thrown about like water, perhaps it is time to try to listen instead of shout down the other.

@horton – please stop with the old pro-abortion talking point about pregnancies resulting from rape. That is so rare it is almost non-existent. Be honest – your obsession with killing fetuses extends to late term abortions that can be done almost anytime in the third trimester for the most flimsy of reasons. It’s your right to say you support killing fetuses, just dont hide behind a separate crime to give you cover for your obsession.
Dems.. the more you embrace the hysterical extremes of your party, the better the Reps will do, once this path you are barreling down is revealed to thinking people, on both sides of the life issue. From reading and research, it kind of looks like the Pelosi/ Clinton/ Wasserman Schultz wacko brand of grumpy, self- loathing, male-hating politics may be more well- suited to the Cali/NY/ northeast fringes of thought and action, and not in line with a majority of voters, in areas they seek to represent. Time will tell, but the same-old, same-old, bereft of actual solutions to our myriad of problems, is likely not going to be enough again, this year- it seems that they are actually the more emotional, desperate- for- any-easy-vote, crowd!
It saddens me to see Art Gallagher descend to being a hate monger and spreader of lies. Perhaps the number of people visiting this site has decreased and he feels the need to promote hate to increase it. Shame. As a Christian of the Roman Catholic faith, I pray that all can remember that part of the Lord’s Prayer which says, “Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.” We all make mistakes, we all fall at times. “Judge not, lest ye be judged.”
In times like this, where division is being actively sown, we need to come together as one; remembering that in unity, there is strength. Policy needs to be discussed and debated; division and destruction need to be rejected by all.
I will continue to pray for all of those on the opposite side, whether racists, white supremacists, neo-nazis or socialists, communists, or anarchists, that they can heal by rejecting the blatant hatred in their hearts which is so obvious in their comments and website(s).

OMG – in doing some more research, here’s what I found – Margaret Sanger actually OPPOSED abortion!
In 1930, Pope Pius XII wrote his encyclical Castii Connubii, which reaffirmed the Roman Catholic Church’s prohibition of abortion. In 1931, Sanger wrote this in her response to the encyclical:
Birth Control Does Not Mean Abortion
“The real alternative to birth control is abortion,” wrote Dean Inge, in his article already quoted.
It is an alternative that I cannot too strongly condemn. Although abortion may be resorted to in order to save the life of the mother, the practice of it merely for limitation of offspring is dangerous and vicious. I bring up the subject here only because some ill-informed persons have the notion that when we speak of birth control we include abortion as a method. We certainly do not.
Abortion destroys the already fertilized ovum or the embryo; contraception, as I have carefully explained, prevents the fertilizing of the ovum by keeping the male cells away. Thus it prevents the beginning of life.”
In her 1938 autobiography, Sanger says the following on page 217:

We are scared we are losing our borders, culture, language, values, and identity- not to mention all our history and treasure.
