So Senator Thompson thinks the legislative committee investigating the George Washington Bridge is a “political witch hunt against the Governor?” The Senator needs to wake-up.
FYI, the Newark allegations should be investigated just as the GWB allegations are.
we as a state and nation have believed that throwing good money after bad, and continuing to look the other way, for whatever the expedient reason, when it is squandered and/or stolen, is going to make anything better,is just pitiful.. In this case, the guy we promoted to “unbeatable Senator” was apparently a pretty terrible steward of our state’s largest and once very lovely and proud city. And, now he, and/ or anyone accused and convicted of theft of more of our money, need to be held accountable and never allowed to hold any office again! Disgraceful,no matter who or where you are! Hope the State Comptroller works in tandem with the few legislators who appear to care even a little bit, to investigate, punish, and either disband or at least oversee these semi- autonomous, seemingly rogue fiefdoms/agencies and authorities, who bleed us,daily!!
