This one won’t be blamed for killing our diplomats in the Middle East, but it could terminate Obama’s chances for reelection.
It turns out that Obama did not misspeak or speak inelegantly in 2008 when he told Joe the Plumber that he wants to redistribute the wealth. He told a 1998 meeting at Loyola University that he “actually believes in redistribution.”
“The trick is figuring out how do we structure government systems that pool resources and hence facilitate some [wealth] redistribution — because I actually believe in redistribution, at least at a certain level to make sure that everybody’s got a shot.”
Do you think this video will get as much play in the mainstream media as Mitt Romney’s fundraising videos have gotten?

BTW…States that have non citizens on its voter roles should target those and work to get them off without poetentially disenfranchising the vast majority of voters that are legally reistered. Those states should not though be sending threatening letters to large groups of people the overwhelming majority of which are legally registered to vote.
Note though that the voter id laws being passed which require govt issued photo id’s that millions of people do not have are being implemented to stop same day voter impersonation which is extremely rare anywhere. In several instances, states that passed the laws were unable to point to a single case of it ever taking place.
And while it might seem easy for you and I top jump in the car and go down to motor vehicles, its not so easy for the poor and elderly especially if they don’t drive in the first place. The documentation needed under the new laws is not always something that people have access to. This is basically the reason that the Supreme Court in PA. ordered the lower court to review the states new voter id law.
Don’t get me wrong, I am all for trying to stop all forms of voter fraud, but it cant be at the expense of disenfranchising tens of millions of legally registered voters.

The individual mandate is not a republican idea. It was a Massachusetts idea. Romney gave the peoples republic of Massachussetts exactly what they wanted. Federalism at work? maybe. In any event it can be argued that what is approriate at the state level is not always appropriate at the federal level.
The problem with an individual mandate is it robs me of my freedom and it distorts the free market inevitably leading to higher prices which the government will be unable to pay.
You want personal responsability. If you have the finacial wherewithal to buy insurance and do not then you pay cash or you do not get treated. Simple. No tickee no shirtee. Will some people die. Yes they will. Too bad. Life is not fair and it is not the governments job to make it fair or protect stupid people from their own stupidity. Regarding not getting treated if you do not have insurance, we both know that would never happen…..eveyone else pays for the people that intentionally do not buy insurance than get sick and end up in or at the hospital. Note that those without insurance who do not go to a doctor end up using the ER’s as their main source of healthcare when they do get sick…. which is extremely expensive.
