Cullari Advertising on TV

CD- 6 GOP challenger Ernesto Cullari had an ad on Fox and Friends this morning.

The 30 second spot bashed his opponent, former Highlands Mayor Anna Little for advising her legal clients to pay undocumented workers in cash in order to avoid taxes and for the “exploding” taxes and debt in Highlands during her tenure as mayor.  “And now she’s running for congress?”

The spot concluded with Cullari saying that he wants to cut taxes and spending.  “I don’t want to go to congress to write laws, I want to go to congress to repeal them.”

Just saw the commercial, YIKES… who is advising this guy???

I hope Ernesto has a lot of money. You can disclose facts but lying about someones business may get you a lawsuit yourself. Better hope anna is prosperous if you win, otherwise you will be giving half of your salary to anna.

When you run for public office you open your entire life up to examination. Candidates need to be fully vetted, especially in a primary.

@Lawyer: If you read many of the comments on these threads you will see who is advising this guy. His “CEO” is classless and clearly not too bright. Oterwise, Ernesto would be trying to win on his own merits rather than resorting to the lame tactics of making his opponent look bad instead.

Lawyer, I’m a lawyer. Not sure if you are or not. Regardless, nothing in that spot this morning even remotely opens Ernesto up to any kind of lawsuit, except the frivolous kind.

Everything said in the spot comes directly from the lawsuit, almost verbatim, posted here by Art in a previous post. Plus, Anna Little is a “public figure” and therefore not protected by the same laws as “private” citizens.

As “when you run” notes, virtually anything goes in the public sphere when you run for office and Ernesto’s spot comes nowhere near touching that incredibly high first amendment bar. I have to wonder who’s advising you on this matter. You’re demonstrably wrong.

Public records are public for a reason and facts are stubborn things, most often for people, like Anna Little, who would rather not have them made public.

  6. WOW said at 3:43 pm on June 1st, 2012:

WOW! If Ernesto is taking it to Anna like this in the Primary, I can’t wait to see how he’s gonna go after Pallone! He’s gonna smash Frank! Really though this is probably Anna’s own fault, after all she wouldn’t debate him when he invited her to a press covered debate.

  7. @When you run said at 11:22 pm on June 1st, 2012:

I agree, but out right lies and untruths is not vetting. Vetting is the TRUTH about a candidate. Like living where you vote for example, or having a PUBLIC budget review committe.. more truth…

Anna was accused of saying that… she never said that. If she was such a bad lawyer she would have lost her license years ago. Everything that Enestoman has posted is BS, not even a grain of truth. I thought he had character and class. He said he would not attack a fellow conservative… He lied, and he lies and he lies…They are getting bigger and bigger. Not much different than frank.

    Was a fan…

    NO MORE.

    I’m with anna now.

  8. Commercial, Robo call...??? said at 9:13 am on June 4th, 2012:

Saw the commercial, got the robo call. Something doesn’t jive.

After reading all the bantering going back and forth and all the information that the Cullari team has released. I wonder.

If what the Cullari team is saying is true, and Little is a Rino and guilty… don’t you think the tea party’s would have changed their support to Cullary. It seems to me that the tide is moving in the other direction.

As a regular voter, for me, this is an indication that someone is not being honest. There is discussion about drinking cool aid, but that doesn’t explain the fact that hundred of people are working for her. Perhaps the Cullari team is drinking the “Cullaid” here.

(I’m sure the attacks will now follow from the usual suspects)
