Audacious in defeat, Little declares for 2012
Before an enthusiastic crowd 250-300 people, Anna Little conceded her CD-6 congressional race to Frank Pallone and announced that she would be back in 2012.
Little announced the formation of the Anna’s Army Foundation , Anna’s Army PAC and the Little Government is Good Government PAC.
She won Monmouth by 3000 votes…not good for her when the Freeholders won by huge, huge margins. Maybe now she’ll temper her extremist views on health care reform, social security and other programs that help people, since even the people of Monmouth pretty much rejected her stance.
Everybody who worked for Anna Little and whose heart is broken, has accompliahed more than they realize. As I have stated before, the 6th Congressional District is Gerrymandered in a way that makes it a buzz saw for any conservative candidate. Pallone took Plainfield 7,950 to 667. Anna faced a task that was near impossible.
The most important message, we can only hope, was impressed upon the established NJ Republican Party. The Lesson from the “Little People” is we want candidates that share and will not compromize on our core beliefs when they get to Washington. Representatives like that do more damage that progressive socialists like Pallone.
So how will the established party react. Will it try to keep the TEA Party fire burning? New Jersey State Constitution, Article II, Section 2 requires appointments to the New Jersey Redistricting Commission before June 15 of each year ending in one.
What does Monmouth County have in common with Plainfield? I know alot of people, but I don’t know anybody in Plainfield. I would bet the vast majority of Monmouth residents could not even tell you where Plainfied is.
The 6th Congressional must change.
What must change is the wagon to which Ms. Little hitches her horse.
I tried to tell her she would be judged by the company she keeps and as long as she didn’t disavow you Art; your deplorable, win-at-ANY-cost tactics, she would be doomed to failure.
I do know people in Plainfield and beyond. I believe I warned you Art. Your gutter-tactics would not sit well with good people and – the people have spoken.
So, with one down and one to go, I can’t wait to see what Mssrs. Holt and Pallone will do about Scudiery’s treachery.
Now, it’s time to bid you adieu. The good guys won so there’s no need for me to slum anymore.

Kathy – what exactly is Scudiery’s treachery?
Doomed to failure? A 50/50 split in a district that has been >68% Pallone for the past 20+ years — while Pallone and company are spending far more than 10x the amount of money — is hardly “failure” for Little’s campaign.
Prior to this Nov 2, CD6 was “safe Democrat”. People in this district are talking and half have now spoken their dissatisfaction with Mr. Pallone — in a district where Ds outnumber Rs by such significant numbers — a 50/50 split means that the Rs and Is have both come out in significant numbers in opposition to Pallone — it was certainly not “safe Democrat” last night — and I suspect that Little’s SUCCESS, and Art’s support, will certainly keep this district from being considered “safe Democrat” again in 2 years, and hopefully convinces Franky Jr. to start doing a better job of representing the people of NJ-6 in the meantime.
Great show by Anna Little against Congressman Gerry Mander.
Anna knocked about 22 points off Congressman Gerry Mander’s usual margin of victory. She proved the next big fight has to be about drawing fair lines.
Thank You Anna!
@ Rick Ambrosia
You can not compare all of Monmouth county to NJ-6 in Monmouth county. Pallone wins Monmouth by 10,000. So s ass!!Anna kick hi
..cannot believe Rick lives in the real world, and actually ran once!.. to compare the CD 6’s 26 (and part of 2) towns in Monmouth, 4 of which are “Balloney” strongholds for 22 yrs., with the numbers of the Sheriff and Freeholders’, in all 53 towns, is both naive and ludicrous, apples to oranges!!.. get real- you may not agree with a person’s philosophy, but at least have the intellectual honesty and decency to not mis- characterize them, for your own point of view!.. with any common sense and paying of attention to re-districting, Flatfoot’s next ride will be much tougher, and more in line with how the over-taxpaying working citizens believe and NEED from a legislator!.. he is just such an empty suit,it’s again simply an AUGHHH! and an UGH!!!
Glad to see you’re not too bitter AFC. Just curious…did she even win Highlands? I can’t find the numbers anywhere.
she may find her support not as strong next time.
I am proud and privileged to call myself a Tea Party member and a Pfc in Anna’s Army. We have a leader who his honest, straight forward in her belief’s and a true Conservative . We have fought but one battle and against bitter odd’s, taken a few casualties , retreated so as to regroup, and regroup we will, this time to fight maybe on a level battle ground on another day. Addio Addio until we meet again.
Who cares about Little? She’s done, yesterday’s news. How about those county races??? Love it!
Let’s see what the re-drawn districts look like before we jump to any conclusions about Little’s chances in 2012. She made a good showing in a tough, left-leaning district but obviously it wasn’t good enough in one of the best years ever to ride the anti-incumbent, anti-establishment, anti-liberal wave. If it weren’t for re-districting I don’t have any reason to believe she’d do much better two years from now, sadly, and I really wish that weren’t the case.
have been successful, Chris Smith had to go the second time, as a 28 year old kid, to win in a left-leaning district at the time, and is now one of the longest-serving Congressmen in our state’s history… but, Marie Muhler, and Brian Kennedy, come to mind as two fine folks who tried again ( ironically, in the old-3rd, now-6th district!)and did not succeed.. again, re-districting, and how the new Rep.majority performs, and also, how the state legislative races pan out in 2011, will all have a bearing as to whether it’s viable for another Little run.. every election has differing dynamics, which is what’s interesting about our democracy.. it is heatbreaking two cities get to deny great candidates, and most of their districts’ taxpayers’ wishes, to be dashed!
Ok..I got my answer…but not only that…she trashes the rest of the people on the town council. What a sore loser….
Little lost Highlands by 76 votes

New Jersey’s poster woman for Tea Party/grassroots couldn’t even pull out her home town in the 6th District congressional race.
Highlands Mayor Anna Little, who challenged U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone (D-Long Branch) for his seat in the House, lost her hometown (pop. 5,249, census est. 2009) by 76 votes.
The council is not political savvy,” she said. “They were running (for re-election), too.”
