Anna Little Reports Negative Cash On Hand
Anna Little’s congressional campaign account is overdrawn $11,321.08, according to the FEC Form 3 Record of Receipts and Disbursements, that her campaign submitted to the Federal Election Commission yesterday.
$22,188.28 seems to have disappeared overnight, between May 16 and May 17, from Little’s meager coffers. In the pre-primary report of activity for the April 1 through May 16 period, “Friends of Anna Little” had $13,806.95 cash on hand on May 16. The next day, her campaign’s beginning balance was negative $8,381, according to the report submitted yesterday.
Monmouth County GOP Chairman John Bennett, Middlesex County GOP Chairman Sam Thomspon and the Bayshore Tea Party Group need to step in and right the Little campaign before it does damage to the rest of the party. Thompson thought his judgment was better than that of the Monmouth GOP screening committee when he awarded his county’s party line to Little when her home county leaders thought better. Bennett, while not yet chairman, supported Little in the primary against Ernesto Cullari. Bennett and Thompson headlined a fundraiser for Little.
When MMM questioned Thompson about Little’s FEC reports in May he said, “I have a hard enough time keeping my own campaign reports straight.” That flippant attitude is no longer acceptable.
Bennett relied on Little’s support to win the chairmanship by three votes. Little has been taking credit for Bennett’s victory at her weekly campaign meetings at the Keyport IHOP.
The Bayshore Tea Party Group’s leadership, despite having well earned reservations about Little, chose to support her over Cullari as an act of defiance towards the Monmouth GOP.
Thompson, Bennett and BTPG gave us this mess. They need to clean it up. Fast.
So Cupcake really is running unopposed.
……………and Anna’s bus has really, really BIG wheels……….
she obviously is not….she can’t balance her campaign budget, how does she expect to balance the federal budget? Increase deficit spending????
So Anna is bragging that she helped a tax and spend pro abortion liberal republican as chairman whose entire legal carreer is based on and dependent on government contracts. I really want to hear from Anna Little supporters how they justify that. I want to hear from BSTP committee people who voted for Bennett how they justify this.
This is not an attck on John he was elected Chairman and he now has my support. While I would have chosen someone with different the voters have spoken. My point is he stands for everything Anna and the Tea Party are against yet they have allied thenselves with him. This is an attack on the rank hypocrisy of Anna and the BSTP. Please I want to hear your justification for this and as someone who until recently voiced support for both I think I am entitled to an explanation.
The words “told you so” come to mind….
Further evidence that the BSTP are political morons and have no clue what they are doing. They have backed some of the worst candidates for the most bizarre of reasons, and have turned on solid conservative candidates for the flimsiest of transgressions – for instance, they supported someone the BSTP didn’t. I may make a fortune selling t-shirts with Christine Hanlon’s picture and the phrase “miss me yet?”
The BSTP looks more and more like some kind of weird cult; complete with cult-like paranoia, an enemies list, delusions of grandeur, and bizarre ostracisms within the group. It’s not surprising that many members have left.
It is disheartening to see this happen to what was once a great organization made up of good people dedicated to positive political reform.
Hi Art, was there ever any talk of anyone else besides Mrs. Little or Mr. Cullari seeking the nomination? No disrespect intended to those two (since at least they both stepped up and ran) but neither one was going to have a prayer of beating Rep. Pallone this year. Several State Legislatures, elected municipal officials, a couple of Freeholders etc…..I believe all could have at least prevented the November election from being a landslide.
was there ever any talk of anyone else besides Mrs. Little or Mr. Cullari seeking the nomination?
No Bob, the new district is considered less winnable for a Republican than the old distrtict.
Ernesto only got into the race because no one else was running, until Little decided to abandon her U.S. Senate primary challenge to Kyrillos and take another shot at Pallone.
Little’s analysis of the district demographics ads up just a bit better than her FEC reports do. She says the district is winnable. She is the only experienced pol that thinks so.
Cullari’s plan was to run scorched earth campaign against Pallone, hitting harder than he did in the primary against Little. It probably would not have worked, but it would have been fun to write about.
if some folks could get past June, and “who-was-on-what-side”, and focus on the campaigns at hand, going forward.. everyone knew the new Cong.Dist. 6 would be tougher, for whomever the nominee was!.. and, with all the support for Kyrillos, he’s still got a very rough road, despite pretty good fundraising so far, to get known enough by Nov., to beat ol’ Bob the incumbent, however leftist and non-performing he’s been, and who doesn’t deserve re-election.. look, Cong. Smith in the new Dist 4 now covers most of Monmouth, and will help the 3 county candidiates a lot, who are going to do well, anyhow.. and,Monmouth, Ocean, and maybe one or two other counties will carry for nearly all the R’s on their ballots, unlike the rest of Blue Jersey- unfortunately, it’s likely Obama, Menendez, and Pallone win here, yet again, “sufficient” funds, or not.. as for the county org., two more successful events went well last night, the St. Comm. training, at a full house at HQ, with Vice Chair Cohen welcoming all, and Mrs. Hanlon introducing the speakers from the state.. and, Chair Bennett’s Finance Comm. mtg. went very well, too: the county’s going to be fine, so, if people want to keep up with unproductive name-calling and negative thinking, go ahead, but here, I say, Romney, Kyrillos, and Little sure could use more of your energy and help!….
“Thompson, Bennett and BTPG gave us this mess. They need to clean it up. Fast.”
um, i don’t think you can count on BTPG’s assistance here. They were not exactly forth-coming about the state of their own financial affairs when they were asked to present a proper monthly Financial Report….and started running members out for asking that be done.
NO ONE was able to get close to the true state of affairs there…. We are still talking about $3,000/month rent for the support of this headquarters space–in this day and age of folks being hard-put to meet their own household budgets.
The way to avoid any whisper of suspicion is adherence to proper procedures….transparency—-timely filing……being forth-coming——-for Anna, Bayshore, all of us.
Just sayin’…. Works best, every time.
@It’d be really good
Please tell me what is wrong with holding our leaders and those that wish to our leaders, accountable??
“but here, I say, Romney, Kyrillos, and Little sure could use more of your energy and help!….”
While I REALLY would love to be an optimist at this moment, at this present moment, baring a huge Nobummer collapse, Superman can’t help the above three with polling numbers quoted here

When i get reelected, it will be because you didnt believe in anna and her ihop army……..
God wants her to win so much he made her lose last time so she could be resurrected ….. she needs more bumper stickers and lawnsigns.. every lawnsign equals 10 votes…
i am so surprised she lost her own town given what a good job she did..
also if you have a stripper pole or undocumented worker
“accountability “, “trasparency,”- such very hackeyed words these days: sure anybody needs to be as up-front and honest as possible, or why run at all?..however, constantly idealizing about them is one thing: beating very dead horses, (yes, ok, we all GET weaknesses in various candidates and campaigns), with NO benefit to the tough tasks at hand, is something else..continually griping and criticizing, from now til Nov., without additional efforts to bring out the GOP vote,at all levels, will only make things worse!..
