Hackensack Meridian Restricts Hospital Visitation

Hackensack-Meridian Health is restricting visits to its patients in all of its hospitals and nursing homes, and rehabilitation facilities according to an announcement by the organization.

HMH’s Monmouth County hospitals are Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, and Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel.

Red Bank Regional High School Goes Virtual As Student Contracts COVID-19

A Red Bank Regional High School student has tested presumptive positive for COVID-19 and the school with hold its classes via the Internet starting tomorrow, March 12, 2019. The school’s Virtual School Insturctional Plan and be found here.
The area Pre-K though 8 schools will remain open and operate normally until further notice.

 

MMM has learned that the RBR student is a sibling of the 27 year old male Little Silver Resident who tested presumptive positive for the virus on Monday.

Bergen County Man, 60’s, Dies from COVID-19

Governor Phil Murphy and Lt. Gov Sheila Oliver announced that a New Jersey man died as a result of the coronavirus.

The individual is a male in his 60s from Bergen County.

“We are sad to report the first death in a case of COVID-19 in New Jersey. Our prayers are with the family during this difficult time. We remain vigilant to doing all we can — across all levels of government — to protect the people of New Jersey.”

Homemade spray sanitizer sold at 7-Eleven badly burned my son, mom says. Cops seize bottles, issue warning.

Police in a New Jersey town issued a warning Monday night about a product marketed as “Spray Sanitizer” at a 7-Eleven after mom shared photos on social media saying her son had been burned by the potentially-homemade chemical packaged 3-ounce, mini-sprayer bottles in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

River Vale police were called shortly after 8 p.m. to the 7-Eleven on Rivervale Road after an officer saw the photos “depicting a young boy with apparent burns to his arm and leg,” police Lt. Murphy declares state of emergency over coronavirus concerns

Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency Monday amid growing concerns about the spread of coronavirus in the state, which now has 11 people who have tested positive.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in New Jersey rose to 11 on Monday. Officials also said 24 additional people in the Garden State are under investigation as potential infection cases by the state Department of Health.
