James Fair of Asbury Park won’t be going home for Christmas anytime soon. Maybe never.
The 29 year old ringleader of the Bloods criminal street gang was sentenced to 82 years in state prison on Thursday. Judge Joseph W. Oxley ordered that Fair serve 50 years before he becomes eligible for parole.
On September 27, 2017, Fair was found guilty on 78 charges following a summer-long trial, including charges of first degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder, first degree Racketeering Conspiracy, second degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, first degree Robbery, weapons offenses, and drug offenses. James Williams, 32, of Red Bank, Hideia Bouie, 21, and Ameer Washington, 27, both of Neptune Township were each charged with Witness Tampering in connection with a pending Armed Robbery case, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
James Williams is currently under indictment for first degree Armed Robbery arising from a Feb. 18, 2017 incident in Asbury Park. Officers of the U.S. Marshals Service and the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Donovan L. Wesley, 25 of Brick, in Asbury Park on Wednesday, following a 10 day manhunt, according to an announcement by Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
