Monmouth County Freeholder Director Tom Arnone issued the following statement regarding the Board tabling a resolution opposing Governor Phil Murphy’s Sanctuary State policies:
“Our Board prides itself on making well informed decisions on behalf of our residents and wants further information before acting on this matter,” said Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone. “It is also important to note that my fellow Freeholders and I are not categorizing the documented, lawful group of citizens with illegal immigrants.”

Democrat Freeholder Candidates Declare Their Support of Immigrants, Regardless of Legal Status
The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders tabled a resolution opposing New Jersey’s Sanctuary State status during their regular meeting yesterday in response to publicly expressed opposition from Democrat politicians and their supporters and an impassioned statement by Yeimi Hernandez on behalf of the Latino Coalition of New Jersey.

Wayde M. Delhagen, 25, of Neptune Township, is in the custody of the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, charged with third degree Burglary, fourth degree Theft by Unlawful Taking, fourth degree Criminal Mischief, and related charges of fourth degree Stalking and fourth degree Cyber-Harassment, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Delhagen’s crime was reported by WABC-EyewitnessNews on Friday.

Mercer County: In the continuing effort to fight crime, Sheriff Shaun Golden is pleased to announce the newest team to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit. Sheriff’s Officer Doug Marino and K-9 Blue, a two year old Belgian Malinois, graduated from the New Jersey State Police K-9 Scent Class #34 on June 14, after 14 weeks of intense training in explosive detection.
“It’s an honor to welcome this highly trained K-9 team to our unit. S/O Marino and his partner Blue will prove to be a great asset to Monmouth County and local police departments,” said Sheriff Shaun Golden. “K-9 teams are extremely essential when it comes to bolstering homeland security capabilities by playing a vital role in protecting our county against criminal and terroristic threats, combatting the proliferation of drugs, as well as assisting in the apprehension of suspects.”

Authorities seek additional victims
Barton Cross-Tierney II, 29, of Franklin Ave in Ocean Township, who also goes by Barton Cross, was arrested at his home by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office on June 6, 2019 and charged with Luring, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Promoting Obscenity to a Child, according to an announcement by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni.
Throughout 2018, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office received multiple Cybertips regarding a participant of Discord, an online chat platform that allows for text exchanges, voice communications and video chats, engaging in inappropriate conversations with underage girls. In December 2018, a juvenile female contacted the FBI tipline and reported that she had engaged in an inappropriate online relationship with an adult male from Ocean, NJ, with the Discord username “Barton Cross.” An investigation revealed that Barton Cross committed sexual acts while in a video chat with the juvenile victim. Happy summer! I hope everyone has been enjoying the warmer weather and all the County has to offer! There are so many events and activities throughout the County that there is sure to be something for everyone.
With that being said, as the liaison to the County’s Department of Public Information and Tourism, I held a press conference in Keyport, along with my fellow Freeholders, to celebrate the start of summer in the Bayshore and to showcase all that they have to offer visitors this summer!
