Monmouth County’s Reorganization Postponed Till Friday

Pat Impreveduto and Lillian Burry will take the Oath of Office as Freeholders on January 5

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders have rescheduled their 2018 Reorganization Meeting until Friday, January 5 at 3PM, due to the expected snowmageddon.  The meeting had been scheduled for Thursday, January 4.

The Freeholders will hold their workshop meeting at 12:30 p.m. in the Hall of Records on Friday as well.

Freeholder-elect Patrick Impreveduto will be sworn into office at the meeting. Freeholder Lillian Burry will take the Oath of Office for her fifth term on the Board.

Tom Arnone will be Freeholder Director in 2018.  Burry will be Deputy Director.

The meeting will take place at BioTechnology High School, 5000 Kozloski Rd in Freehold Township.

Teenager shot parents, sister, family friend ‘at close range,’ prosecutor says (Video)

O’Scanlon to motorists: ‘Beware! The next attempt by corrupt camera company to steal from NJ drivers is underway’

New Jersey motorists need to be warned that Redflex Traffic Systems Inc., one of the two now-infamous red light camera companies blessedly sent packing with the end of the failed pilot program in December, is trying to bring automated enforcement back to the state. This is company U.S. District Judge Virginia Kendall was referring to when she said this at the bribery sentencing of former Redflex CEO Karen Finely: ‘… But when we have a corporation that is in the community making millions of dollars on a product that abuses the people, there is no sense of corporate social responsibility there. … That impact cannot be underestimated.’ Nice.

This time they are hiding behind our children’s so-called ‘safety’ in the form of cameras on school buses. No one should be fooled. We proved red light cameras were a scam hiding behind false safety claims, and this bill is more of the same. Read the rest of this entry »

Fundraiser for slain Long Branch family quickly exceeds goal

Asbury Park man, 27, stabbed to death in apartment

First-responders save Golden Retriever who’d fallen through ice in Howell

Police officers, emergency management personnel and firefighters sprang to action Thursday afternoon to rescue a pet dog that had fallen through the ice of a partly frozen pond in Howell Township.
