Superior Court Judge Joseph W. Oxley was affirmed for tenure by a 40-0 vote by the New Jersey State Senate on Monday afternoon.
Nominated by Governor Chris Christie for a seven year term in 2012, Judge Oxley was renominated by Governor Phil Murphy last month.
“These past seven years have been the greatest years of my life, both personally and professionally,” Oxley told the Senate Judiciary Committee during his confirmation hearing last week, according to New Jersey Law Journal.

Paul Caneiro, the 52 Ocean Township man accused of brutally murdering his brother Keith and Keith’s family last November before setting their Colts Neck home ablaze in an ill fated attempt to hide his crimes, was arraigned in Monmouth County Superior Court this morning, according to an announcement on Twitter by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Caneiro pleaded not guilty to all 16 counts of his indictment, including quadruple murder, before Superior Court Judge Joseph W. Oxley in Freehold.

James Fair of Asbury Park won’t be going home for Christmas anytime soon. Maybe never.
The 29 year old ringleader of the Bloods criminal street gang was sentenced to 82 years in state prison on Thursday. Judge Joseph W. Oxley ordered that Fair serve 50 years before he becomes eligible for parole.
On September 27, 2017, Fair was found guilty on 78 charges following a summer-long trial, including charges of first degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder, first degree Racketeering Conspiracy, second degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, first degree Robbery, weapons offenses, and drug offenses. Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni will announce the results of the Internal Affiars review of the law enforcement response to the brutal slaying of Tamara Seidle by her ex-husband, then Neptune Township Sgt Phillip Seidle, on June 16, 2015 while the couple’s 7 year old daughter, and members of the Asbury Park and Neptune Township Police Departments, looked on, at a press conference in Freehold tomorrow morning.
The 22 year veteran of the Neptune Police Department pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter and child endangerment on March 10. He is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Joseph W. Oxley in August.

Daniel Alfano, 25, a Class II Special Police Officer in Seaside Park, was arrested by the Hazlet Police Department yesterday on charges that he engange in sexual activity with a 15 year old girl in his Parkview Dr. home.
According to a statement by Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni, an investigation by the Hazlet PD revealed that Alfano engaged in sexual activity with the girl on May 2.
Alfano was released from custody after posting $100,000 bail as set by Superior Court Judge Joseph W. Oxley.
