I am proud to announce the sixth annual Made in Monmouth event on April 8th was an absolute success!
More people than ever came out to support our small business owners thanks in large part to the local community and fantastic staff and volunteers who helped coordinate this day-long shopping event at Monmouth University.
This year, more than 5,000 shoppers supported the event, which showcased more than 260 vendors who displayed and sold their locally-made products. From furniture and jewelry to pet products and gourmet specialty foods, there were truly a wide variety of items for attendees to choose from.

Golden will refer potential fraud and forgeries to the Monmouth County Prosecutor

Freeholder candidates Pat Impreveduto and Lillian Burry will face a primary challenge on June 6
Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon ruled yesterday that the Freeholder slates endorsed by the Monmouth County Republican Organization and those submitted by the Ciattarelli for Governor campaign both had enough qualifying signatures on their nominating petitions to appear on the ballot for the June 6 primary. Freeholder Director Lillian Burry and Holmdel Deputy Mayor Pat Impreveduto will be challenged by Dr. Bernard Dowd, a veterinarian from Oceanport and Susan Ellen Metz of Middletown.

Along with warmer weather and longer days, the month of April will likely bring higher gas prices. For naysayers who say they’ve heard this before, pump prices increased a nickel last week driven by rising crude oil and wholesale gas prices. “It’s countrywide. We’re on the threshold of a couple of significant increases,” said Tom Kloza,… Read the rest of this entry »

By Jennifer Beck Ending egregious sick and vacation leave payouts is an effort that has been years in the making, but the overtaxed residents of New Jersey have waited long enough. Signatures appear to be falsified. Ciattarelli’s Political Director Certified Signature She Did Not Witness

Bernie Dowd is an equine veterinarian and a candidate for freeholder, certified apparently false signatures supporting his candidacy. video screen grab
The nominating petitions filed by the Monmouth County Freeholder candidates aligned with Jack Ciattarelli for Governor appear to have fraudulent signatures and to have been falsely certified, according to a challenge filed by Monmouth County Republican Chairman Shaun Golden and an ongoing investigation by MMM.
In a letter to Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon obtained by MMM, Golden said that a review of the petitions filed by Bernard Dowd and Susan Ellen Metz revealed “a number of irregularities.” Golden wrote that several signatures appear to be in the same handwriting for multiple people, several signers are not registered to vote and/or are registered Democrats. Democrat voters are not eligible to vote in Republican primaries nor endorse candidates for those primaries.
