Rich Pezzullo
Rich Pezzullo, the Republican candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 6th Congressional District, blasted Congressman Frank Pallone today for accepting $7000 in campaign contributions from facebook.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Pallone has received $7000 from facebook since 2010, including $2,500 for this year’s election.
“Frank Pallone has taken $7,000 from Facebook since 2010,” Pezzullo marveled. “Seven thousand dollars,” he repeated, to a group of voters in Middlesex County. “And he has the gall to sit up there and claim he’s an unbiased observer, to claim he’s representing his district?” Read the rest of this entry »

State Senator Vin Gopal referred to supporters of President Donald Trump as “sneaky and underhanded” in an email to Monmouth County Democrats today, according to a report at NewJerseyGlobe.com .
“This type of sneakiness and underhandedness is something I would expect to see from Trump supporters or the far-right, not someone who claims they are acting in good faith to build the Democratic Party,” said Gopal.
Gopal was referring to Jennifer Fluharty, a self-proclaimed nasty woman, who is supporting former Asbury Park councilman Jim Keady for the Democrat nomination to lose to Congressman Chris Smith in November. Read the rest of this entry »

Congressman Chris Smith listens to Patricia Apy, a Red Bank attorney, testify about the need for the State Department to step up the enforcement of the Goldman Act
While most of Washington and the media was focused on why you see the ads you see on facebook yesterday, Congressman Chris Smith and his colleagues on the House Subcommittee on Global Human Rights were focused on reuniting kidnapped children with their American parents.
Smith, as chairman of the committee, called on the Trump administration to step up where the Obama administration failed by imposing sanctions on countries that are not enforcing court orders, including from their own courts, for families suffering from international parental child abduction. Gov Phil Murphy and Marlboro Mayor Jon Hornik
Marlboro Mayor Jonathan Hornik today noted that the State of New Jersey historically shirks its obligations to the “chronically underfunded” pension system while local governments have been meeting their obligations. Hornik’s comment came in a press release touting S&P Global Ratings reaffirming his township’s AAA bond rating.
S&P noted that while the Township continues to make its annually required pension contribution to the State of New Jersey, the State pension system is chronically underfunded. “Local government continues to pay its share, and historically the State has shirked its obligation,” stated the Mayor. “In the context of our review, S&P reiterated its concern regarding the long term health of the State system. I am hopeful that with a new Administration in Trenton, the State will take a more responsible approach to its stewardship of the pension system.”

Even if you don’t like Trump….
I’ve posted this in Monmouth County News because similar actions have happened not just in Washington, but right out of Red Bank and concerns everyone in this County who believes that a free society should remain so.
We are a divided country. We are a polarized country. That polarization is posing one of the most serious internal dangers to our nation and our notions of democracy.
Like every other attorney, I have told my clients that whatever they tell me is absolutely privileged under the doctrine of attorney-client privilege. That doctrine exists in every state. It exists in the federal system. It is close to sacrosanct. There are extremely few exceptions and they require overcoming the highest burdens imaginable to breach. Read the rest of this entry »
