Booker to campaign in Montana next month
Senator Cory Booker is slated to travel to Montana next month (h/t The Auditor) to raise money for local Democrats.
Booker is considered a frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, despite his denials of interest in the office. We can expect him to make quite of few trips to Iowa and New Hampshire over the next couple years. But Montana? Montana’s 3 electoral votes have gone to the Republican candidate in each presidential election since 1952 when General Dwight D. Eisenhower defeated Illinois Governor Adlai Stevenson, except 1964 and 1992. President Trump beat Hillary Clinton in Montana by over 20%.
Booker will pick up chits if he can help the Democrats pick up Montana’s only House seat which is being vacated by Congressman Ryan Zinke, President Trump’s choice to be Interior Secretary.
But the real opportunity for Booker’s visit to Montana could be with the environmental and climate change communities. Visits to Glacier National Park and the Museum of the Rockies, home the country’s largest collection of North American dinosaur fossils consisting entirely of discoveries made in and around Montana, could serve as a warning to the world about the dangers of heating our homes and powering our vehicles with dinosaur remains. We don’t want what happened to the dinosaurs to happen to us!
I would love to see this guy( thanks again, Governor,) out of the US Senate, my guess is, if he is the best they’ve got at this juncture, bring him on.. sorry, but he just comes off boring, not inspiring, and frankly, weird, to me.. might be a tiny improvement over the shrill Warren and a few of the other obnoxious women they call their “leaders,” but, as long as the Republican wimps don’t sabotage our President’s agenda, none of the whining leftist Dems will get close.
