    Governor Christie told me to my face before he was elected that he would only appoint strict Constitutionalists to the bench. That turned out to be false. Do we continue to trust our elected officials when they lie to us? No wonder people are discouraged with politics. The Governor has done some good things but he has really disappointed me with the important ones.

    This looks like Christie knowing he has a real budget mess does not want to have a brawl about the Court in 2014. To me this indicates he is leaning against a 2016 campaign since this re nomination will be deadly in the Presidential primaries. Of course nothing is written in stone and there is still time to recoup momentum.

    Whether you like Rabner or not, the reality is that this is the best Christie is going to get under the circumstances….and he can fall back on that.
