Bellew Campaign Seeks Help From Monmouth County Democrats

Monmouth County Democrat Chairman Vin Gopal told MMM that a representative of the Bellew for Senate campaign reached out to him for financial support and help in generating publicity for the Bayshore Tea Party backed slate of candidates in the 13th Legislative District Republican Primary. “We need help getting the truth out,” Gopal said the operative pleaded.
The campaign operative, who Gopal said is close to Bellew but not so involved with BTPG, said the campaign was having difficulty raising money, recruiting volunteers and getting positive press.
“I turned him down,” said Gopal, “this is a primary between two Conservative Republican tickets. It’s not our fight.
“Kyrillos may have run as a moderate in the U.S. Senate campaign last year,” Gopal added,” but based upon his voting record in the legislature, he is a Conservative as far as I am concerned. He’s voted against abortion rights, marriage equality rights and the millionaires tax.
“I’m glad to see the Republicans spending money fighting with each other instead of coming after us.”
MMM called Bellew, her campaign manager Dwayne Horner, and BTPG co-founder Barbara Gonzalez for comment. None have returned the call.
UPDATE
Gonzalez did not return our call, but she banned MMM publisher Art Gallagher from the BTPG’s facebook page. Eariler today, Gonzalez accused Gallagher of censoring BTPG members’ comments on this site. That hasn’t happened.

I am a staunch conservative – pro life, NRA member, pro traditional marriage, etc. I will work for Kyrillos, Handlin, O’Scanlon, Golden, Arnone and DiMaso like there is no tomorrow. I am tired of the BSTP dividing us and trashing the Tea Party brand. I know other Tea Parties that cringe at the mention of the BSTP. In a state where Democrats are in the solid majority, these nuts go after ……… The Republicans in office?????? As my screen name says…….

I don’t believe it…I’m voting for the best candidate one that express themselves and earns my vote, so I would like to see a debate we deserve it. All this other stuff is noise, I personally do not think anyone went to dems for help but like you I can’t prove it. This country needs the elections to be won on issues and plans not through character Assassination. If I was the dem leader I would say the same thing, to get my name in mix during this dead period.
All this fighting is making he party weaker, we should have embraced the challenge to make the party stronger, we should have had open discussion and kept family business to ourselves. But we aired our laundry and are going to force people to take sides. This should have been a positive, but turned into a big negative for the party, to me it shows the party will do Anything to protect its own no matter how flawed someone may or may not be. What happened to open discussion and making someone earn there seat, I guess it’s more important to be protected then democracy.
The BSTP isn’t even a cancer, because it’s not working within the party. It is a virus attacking the organization doing nothing but making the Republican party weaker as a whole. Who coronated Gonzales? We need to ditch her quick and work together to make the party stronger. We will never take control of the legislature or keep the Governor’s office if we continue to in-fight. This is the act of a desperate woman, and if you don’t believe this actually happened then you are deluding yourself.
The new BSTP slogan should be…”We are against Democrats, unless we need their money!”
When are you Tea Party nuts going to grow up? This is about a seriously deficient set of candidates with character flaws and why’s that they are hiding behind. They can’t raise money they will not answer questions. This is about a seriously flawed person leaving the base or tea party group none other than Barbara Gonzalez.
I have no problem with candidates surfacing that may be able to challenge but these candidates need to be prepared qualified and honest with the voters. They are lying they are hiding they are obfuscating.
Their character is an issue. Take your head out of the sand and realize that it is them that is doing the damage.

They might not me the best candidates… But they don’t have the right to run because you don’t think there good candidates. I’m not supporting any candidate, I’m talking about the process. This stuff is sickening, do you think the tea party wants to align themselves with democrats or do people want paint that picture to destroy them. If that’s the case we all need to wake up. Every party needs checks and balances… Think about it.
What’s more alarming to me is that the dem leader threw the tea party under the boss and allied himself with Republican Party. To me this this strange.
Monmouth needs a real Tea Party organization who not only have passion for their cause but also a brain that understands candidates need to win general elections in order to impact governmental policies.
The real question is whether Vin Gopal is telling the whole truth as to funding the BTPG and their candidates. We all know how experienced the dems are in funneling money around. Beginning to smell like dems have infiltrated the BTPG.

Yes, they do have a right to run. But we have the right to challenge them as insanely incompetent because of their lies, hiding and inability to run campaigns or raise money.
And we have that right to do so without being called dividers and RINOS. Good Conservatives are being called that because we oppose these idiots.

The only difference is that Barbara Gonzalez has set herself up as the grand priestess who decides who is conservative and who is not. She has no idea how to win an election, and what’s worse, she has no clue as to what loyalty or building a team means. She is the best thing to happen to the liberal Democrats in years. As I said, I am a true conservative and have been my whole life and will be working hard for the Kyrillos ticket straight through to November.

The Bayshore Tea Party Group would not have to turn to Democrats to help their campaign if they would coordinate with the only Tea Party Approved and Constitutionally Certified GOP candidate for Governor, Seth Grossman. Every conservative I know is excited about voting for a real conservative for Governor, and I’m sure if the R4CL candidates were running on the same ticket they would hyave no problem getting volunteers and raising money.
The Tea Parties need to get together and unite in common cause to restore liberty and prosperity to New Jersey. The American Tea Party Congress should take the lead supporting Seth Grossman for Governor and the rest of the Tea Party candidates for legislative and other offices.
And Seth Grossman is another fraud.

I’m sorry, but some of these posters on here defending tooth-and-nail the BTPG sound like Obama supporters….just on the other side of the coin. It is kind of scary…they defend him with angst as well.
The current establishment Republicans haven’t lived up to a Conservative voting record. They’ve voted several times to increase taxes, support abortion, and restrict our 2nd Amendment gun rights. Not to mention how horrible Joe Kyrillos was at defending and/or promoting conservative policies, and/or attacking the failed liberal policies, he wouldn’t be a good choice to have represent the GOP in November, nor in the State Senate any longer than this current term (which expires in January 2014) would suggest.
I strongly urge any and all voters in the LD13 GOP Primary to support The Bayshore Tea Party candidates.
