Hanlon is big winner in Monmouth County
Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon has won a decisive reelection victory.
Based upon the early returns Hanlon is leading Democrat Angela Ahbez-Anderson of Asbury Park by 54%-45%. Her margin of victory is very likely to expand to almost 60% when all the ballots are counted.
Hanlon’s biggest victory was the lack of long lines at Monmouth County polling places. She did a remarkable job educating the electorate on how to vote in the convoluted and confusing election designed by the Murphy Administration.
Hanlon also did a good job educating the public about the fact that while she is the Clerk of Elections, she does not have authority over the Board of Elections. The Board of Elections is responsible for the slow reporting on election results.
Republican freeholder candidates Lillian Burry and Ross Licitra are trailing Democrats Michael Penna and Moira Nelson in the County wide early results, an indication that Hanlon has earned broad bi-partisan support despite being a Republican political leader.
Look for Hanlon to be on every short list to be the Republican Lt Governor nominee next year.
by Vin and co., at all levels, to turn Monmouth blue, faster than expected.
No one outside of Monmouth has the slightest idea of who she is. I mean even most here don’t. Nice lady though.
Who won Mayor of Howell? Congratulations to you Ms. Hamlin.
Incumbent.
