Rumson Police Warn of Bull Sharks in the Navesink River

The Rumson Police Department is warning residents of unconfirmed sightings of bull sharks in the Navesink River.

Bull sharks are aggressive, common, and usually live near high-population areas like shorelines. They are not bothered by brackish and freshwater, and even venture far inland via rivers and tributaries, according to National Geographic.

Many experts consider them the most dangerous shark in the world.
