Shooting Death Being Investigated at Former Long Branch Mayor’s Home

The body of June Huhn, 73, the wife of former Long Branch Mayor Phillip Huhn, was found with a fatal gunshot wound in the couples’ Norwood Ave home this morning.

The Asbury Park Press is reporting that Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said that her death was being investigated as a possible homicide.

A law enforcement source told MMM that the death is being investigated as a potential suicide.

Charles Webster, spokesperson for the Prosecutor’s Office, confirmed the death of a female at the Norwood Ave address but declined to confirm the victim’s name or manner of death. Webster said there is no suspect at this time.
