Schmid laments Warren’s withdrawal from presidential race

Stephanie Schmid, once considered the front runner for the Democrat nomination to run against Congressman Chris Smith in the Fourth Congressional District, announced on facebook that she is sad to see Senator Elizabeth Warren withdraw from the presidential race.

Schmid endorsed Mike Bloomberg for the Democrat nomination for president, which prompted both establishment and grassroots leaders to rescind their endorsements of her.

Christine Marie Conforti won the Mercer County Democrats’ endorsement for the CD-4 nomination earlier this week. Conforti also picked of the endorsement of Gary Faraci, a Democrat fund raiser from Wall Township.

Josh Welle endorsed Schmid this week.
