Bob Walsh: 1958-2020, Rest in Peace
Bob Walsh, a former mayor and councilman of Howell Township, passed away this morning after a valiant battle with brain cancer. He was 61 years old.
Walsh was a passionate public servant, a loyal friend and a fierce adversary. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends. His impact on Howell and Monmouth County will be felt for years to come.
“Rest In Peace Bob Walsh,” Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon wrote on facebook. “A good man who lived life on his own terms, loved his family, devoted many years to public service, and had an amazing positive attitude.”
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Walsh may be made to the Development Office, Bancroft, 1255 Caldwell Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. A fine, sweet, funny, dedicated man. So in love with his entire family. Gave a lot of himself to his town and county, and left far too young..Sincere condolences to all his family and many friends. RIP, Bobby.
