Brandt looking to enter Dem 2020 POTUS race

With word leaking out that Rick Brandt has been banned from Markham Place School, even though he wasn’t when MMM screwed up and inferred that he was earlier this week, the 30 year old printing and packaging salesmen is coming to grips with the fact that he is not going to win the Republican nomination for Little Silver Mayor.  MMM has learned that Brandt is now considering becoming the 24th person to enter the race for 2020 Democrat nomination for President of the United States.

When informed that the U.S. Constitution requires that Presidents be 35 years of age, Brandt smiled, put two thumbs up and filed his paperwork anyway.

“Democrats have been much nicer to me than Republicans have,” Brandt said. “Josh Welle was so appreciative of my support last year when, even though I had just been elected to the Little Silver Republican Committee, I helped organize a fundraiser and meet and greet for him in town.  All those Josh Welle for Congress signs in Little Silver last year?  Well whose signs are on those lawns today?”

“I wrote to Chris Smith after he beat Welle and told him how much I admired him, hoping he would endorse me for Mayor, but Declan O’Scanlon told Smith about all I did for Welle, otherwise I’m sure I would have gotten the congressman’s endorsement.”

Brandt said his first step in securing the 2020 Dem nomination in Milwaukee is to charm award-winning songwriter Karen Sokolof Javitch into adding a stanza dedicated to him to her newly released song, Why Don’t You Run For President?

His second step is to order matching suits for he and his brother to wear to a Brewers game during the convention in Milwaukee.

“I’m going to knock on every door in America,” Brandt declared. “I care about every person that much and every American deserves a personal relationship with their president. Unfortunately, that won’t leave me any time to for the debates or to talk to reporters.”

Editors note:  Rick Brandt was banned from Markham Place School today by the Little Silver Board of Education.  Brandt was acknowledged by Josh Welle for his support last year in the CD-4 election against Congressman Chris Smith and Senator Declan O’Scanlon did inform Smith of Brandt’s public support of Welle.  The rest of this story is satire.

am always glad to see folks show their true colors and beliefs. For Republicans to be that easily swayed from one side to the other I say, go for it, please, change your registration, and be who/what you really are. Have known many politicians over the years that just want to be elected, and land where they think they have a better chance to rise to the top, not because of a good philosophy and manner of governing.

What a joke of a publication “More Monmouth Musings” is. In the past few weeks, this piss poor 90’s looking high schooler’s blog has launched an all out schmear campaign against Rick Brandt. Kudos to you guys. You’ve made it evident how threatened you are by new blood in local government. We all know Rick is not going to win his Mayoral race – move on and report on something you’re good at, like the counting how many poppy seeds Bagels Masters puts on their bagels. This articles comes off as desperate, childish, pathetic, and weird.

It should say this is satire like The Onion or Borowitz Report. None of the Dem connection info is actually true.
    Amusing, but not accurate.

Ummm…Bonnie Akey, you didn’t finish reading to the bottom where it says:

    Sooooo,

Rick Brandt supported Josh Welle (when even the AsbParkPress did not) in Welle’s effort to unseat the Last Republican Congressman left in all of NJ???

    Wow.
    Just, wow.

Josh Welle is such a weirdo, too.
Everybody had issues with that guy.
    Thank god he lost.

Sorry Rick Brandt, but you are no leader.
And you sure as hell don’t know what a good leader looks like.

Mr. Brandt, just pick the Dem party and stay there. You’ll be happier and so will everyone else.

Remember, there are extra law enforcement personnel out there this weekend, don’t get behind the wheel!

  7. Red Bank Green has more on Brandt... said at 12:14 am on May 25th, 2019:

According to Red Bank Green, the non-profit group that cares for the historic Parker Homestead is now ticked off at Rick Brandt, too. (Seriously, what is this kid doing running for Mayor?)

The whole article is a good read. It lists a number of awful missteps Brandt has made. It sounds like he’s angered or upset a whole lot of people in Little Silver.

Maybe he’s just another bored rich kid who wants to play with other people’s lives for a while. There seems to be a lot of that going around these days. Sad.

    From Red Bank Green;

“…Red Bank Green has learned The nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, which oversees the historic farm property on Rumson Road, ‘had to warn Rick not to represent himself as a trustee or spokesperson,’ said Keith Wells, its president. In addition, Brandt recorded much of his campaign video on homestead property, ‘in violation of our published policy,’ Wells said. Another violation occurred this past Sunday, Wells said, when Brandt posted on his personal Facebook page a photo of himself holding a poster for the organization’s Two River Ramble music festival. The image wrongly ‘implies he had something to do with organizing it,’ Wells said.”

That’s only a bit of what Red Bank Green had to say about good ‘ol Rick Brandt. Yikes.
