Al Alvarez Testifies in Trenton…watch it live
Al Alvarez, the former Murphy official accused of rape, is testifing before a state legislative committee investigating the Murphy administration’s hiring practices. Alvarez was forced to resign from his post in the administration after another staffer, Katie Brennan, accused him of sexual assault in The Wall Street Journal. Brennan said the administration hired Alvarez at the Schools Development Authority, even though she had alerted the Murphy campaign about her allegation. The question of who hired Alvarez has taken center stage in the committee hearings.
