Monmouth County links in Hillary’s emails
Wikileaks released 1258 of Hillary Clinton’s emails yesterday. The website obtained the emails through a Freedom of Information Request on February 29, 2016.
There are several Monmouth County connections in the emails released.
Congressman Chris Smith was mentioned in 87 of Clinton’s emails on subjects ranging from Sean Goldman being reunited with his father David of Tinton Falls after being abducted to Brazil by his mother, to the congressman’s opposition to tax payer funded abortions and Planned Parenthood funding. Emails that mentioned Smith revealed that the Secretary and other State Department officials were busy lobbying members of congress to pass the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) in late 2009 through its final passage in March in 2010.
Smith called Clinton on April 29, 2012 regarding Chinese human rights activist Chen Guangcheng who had escaped house arrest and fled to the U.S. Embassy in Beijing.
In the same email string that reported Smith’s call to Clinton regarding Guangcheng, the secretary mentioned to a staffer, Monica Hanley that she had a call scheduled with Senator John Kerry (now Secretary of State) the following morning. Of the call to Kerry, Hanley wrote, “We can return whatever you don’t want.”
Congressman Frank Pallone was not mentioned in any of the Clinton emails released by Wikileaks.
Clinton was scheduled to call Jon Bon Jovi to thank him for something on January 3, 2010.
Senator Bob Menendez was mentioned in 18 of Clinton’s emails.
The late Senator Frank Lautenberg was mentioned in 50 of the emails.
Governor Christie was mentioned in a April 2012 email speculating who Mitt Romeny’s running mate would be. Paul Ryan was not one of the contenders mentioned.

In the email that mentions BonJovi, (which appears to be some kind of “to-be-called” list) it also mentions Corzine down at the bottom.
