Long Branch Council proposing to double weekday parking fees
LONG BRANCH — The Long Branch City Council has proposed increasing the parking fees at meters in Pier Village. The ordinance setting the new fees calls for an increase from $1 an hour on weekdays to $2 per hour. The fee would be $3 per hour on weekends and holidays. To accommodate beachgoers, though, the council…
folks: our two fine cities, Asbury and Long Branch: you want more people to come back and patronize your businesses: make it more expensive and annoying!! The mentality and logic of these governmental fools is beyond me.
Also gets expensive if you move to another part of town and have to feed a second meter. Put $3.00 on a meter on Cookman Ave. on Saturday and patronized a couple of businesses. Decided to go down the boardwalk for lunch and ended up putting another $3.00 in that meter. Might work in the Summer but $6.00 to park on a windy cold Saturday in March (when the restaurants are 95% empty) is a bit excessive.
Just remember, that is Democrat Frank Pallone’s brother John Pallone along with a bunch of other Democrats including Joy Bastelli really screwing the middle class and lower class by setting parking rates so high as to make the area exclusive for the upper class/those wealthy enough to not be worried like poor Bobby about $6 parking.
DEMOCRATS DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE POOR AND MIDDLE CLASS. DEMOCRATS ARE USERS. The whole Democrat party uses the poor for votes and then screws the poor at every turn, this is another case of the same. Stop voting for Dems and stop getting screwed, otherwise be blind like our buddy Bobby here and keeping voting down the D column and keep getting screwed but at least stop complaining when you get what you voted for every time.
