Christie endorses Rick Perry?
By Art Gallagher
A facebook page that promoted Governor Chris Christie’s reelection in 2013 and is now linked to his presidential exploratory PAC posted a endorsement of former Texas Governor Rick Perry’s PAC last night.
Christie and Perry are both competing in the “pre-primary” for the 2016 GOP Presidential nomination. Both men spoke at the Iowa Freedom Summit on Saturday.
Christie is not known for saying nice things about his opponents.
On Monday, while New Jersey was preparing for winter storm dud Juno, the following video promoting Christie’s PAC was posted on the page:
I don’t get how the video demonstrates leadership or is flattering to the presidential aspirant and the timing of the post raises questions. But, it was “Liked” by prominent Christie supporters like pollster Adam Geller and radio talk show host Harry Hurley, so I figured I must be missing something.
Now I’m wondering if the whole page is a clever spoof set up to undermine Christie.
I’d call Christie’s team and ask them about the page but, 1) it is 5AM and 2) they stopped returning my messages and deleted me from their press distribution list after I wrote a column critical of Christie using an Executive Order signed by Governor Jim McGreevey to justify accepting flights on private plans for his entire family to attend Dallas Cowboys playoff games.
